How to grow lashes?

So I have pretty short lashes and I’m wondering how everyone likes to make their lashes thicker and longer….

I’m making this forum for everyone to benefit off. Would love if people could discuss some before and after too!

  • I was initially browsing products to see what I could use to lengthen and grow my eyelashes. I have thin but long lashes and overtime from using mascara almost daily for the past 10+ years I noticed they started thinning. I came across Lash Growth Dermalmd Serum and thought I would give it a go. It has a good consistency and can be applied on your lash line, the only problem is it is like a thin paint brush, it is not a mascara brush like I was expecting. However it is still fairly simple to apply and over time I feel it is gradually making my eyelashes stronger.

I have sensitive eyes, sunscreen near my eyes make my eyes water etc..
I have tried the castor oil on my lashes , only use it at night so far so good but just make sure you do not get the oil inside your eyes . It is irritating and slightly burns.

Has anyone with relatively sensitive eyes tried castor oil? My eyes have been playing up lately (first I had a stye, then I got hayfever reactions in my eyes, etc) and everything seems to irritate them (SPF accidentally getting rubbed towards my eyes feels like acid burn!) so I don’t want to get a whole bottle of castor oil, try it once and realize that it doesn’t gel well with sensitive eyes!

When it comes to oil, I am not sure if I would want to apply it on my face to begin with. Reason being, my face to prone to be oily and by applying more “”oil””, it just make it worst. and sometimes, at the end of the day, my eyes starts to get uncomfortable as I rub my eyes which somehow, the oil that`s produced on my face or eyelid area will get in contact to my eyes.

The thought of castor oil anywhere near your eyes horrifies me, but I hate the smell of castor oil anyway. As someone with super sensitive eyes I think oil of any kind would be possibly difficult.

NellAdams, I had a massive reaction to makeup in general many years ago and found it was ages before I could use anything near my eyes. It sounds to me like you could have set up a situation where you`ll have problems with your eyes for a while with irritations like you`ve had. Maybe stay away from anything for a few weeks and then introduce items slowly. Good luck, I do know what it`s like to have everything irritate your eyes.

I’ve heard that castor oil really works, my problem is remembering to include it in my regular beauty routine. This has inspired me to make the extra effort.

Lat time, when I was young and I couldn’t find any eyelash grow essential or whatnot. I used coconut oil to grow my lashes and after a month my lashes become longer and darker too.

Also, I have used the castor oil serum and I wanted to say by applying before I go to bed every night it has really made a difference

Ok so I have used that mascara for a good while now and in honest opinion I think mascara is mascara. It is great on the length but I wouldn’t say it grows your natural lashes.

Use Castor oil on a disposable wand each night before you go to sleep! I have heard it works wonders for those trying to grow out their eyelashes and even eye brows! Can’t wait to try it for myself, good luck 🙂
