How do you moisturise your back?

I cannot reach my back. In the shower, I use my brush which has a stick. However, when it comes to moisturising the back, I have difficulties.

Same problem with sunscreen on the back.

Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Heavens have heard my prayers and made this device for me to reach the back

This plastic paddle shaped device has a washable foam pad on one end. It assists in the self application of lotions and ointments. The length and curved shape enables access to every body part. The product folds in half to a compact 190mm for storage. It opens to a 380mm length for use.

Two replaceable washable sponges are included with each product.

    • Natural loofah exfoliating pads are also available.

Most of the time i do all of my body but my back, it’s really hard for me to reach one side but occasionally i do it because i find it relaxing and a bit of a de-stress to just take the time to do all of my body. Luckily i also have a helpful partner who applies it for me on my back whenever i ask.

I also use the Nivea In shower body lotion to moisturise my back. I’m pretty flexible so I can reach most areas and the running water helps to spread it around, it works pretty well. I can’t be bothered applying a cream or lotion, if it’s really dry I’ll ask my hubby to apply for me.

I am enjoying everyone’s input here. I feel a need to moisturise my back. I get acne on the back.. and it gets itchy if i don’t moisturise.
More oily if i don’t which results in pimples there. nasty vicious cycle. thinking of getting the salicylic / collodial silver spray i saw on iHerb for my back acne.

After Dove’s advert, i started to moisturise the armpits too.

I also make sure i spray sunscreen on the back if i am going out.I am very fair and am starting to get age spots on my hand and my legs. 🙁 sunscreen everywhere now.

I use the manicare scrub that can be detached from the stick and have a cotton thing at the back, so i can’t use the back.

Coop that’s a great suggestion. The other way is i have the Alpha Kerri Bath oil i rub all over after shower before i pat dry. 😀

It has never occurred to me to moisturise my back … out of sight; out of mind.

Still use your brush/sponge stick and pour some Nivea in shower moisturiser on it leave for a few minutes then shower off

Lol. I can reach my back but I prefer to have my partner do it.

I don’t have a problem reaching my back, but your idea of the spray on sunscreen made me think of the spray on moisturisers. There’s Vaseline or Palmers.

I wouldn’t have thought you’d need to moisturise your back. The mind boggles.

Stay C Thank you. that’s helpful. Yeah if i stretch more i can get my whole back but the application is really awkward and not so ambidexterous

at the funny angle, my hands get really spastic.
