Foot Spas

Recently I have moved houses to a place with no bathtub cries and I am finding that my feet are really feeling it. I was considering getting a foot spa to help keep my toes pretty and my feet soft. Also because I have read about the health benefits of epsom salt foot baths. Does anyone have a foot spa they would recommend. One that would allow me to put epsom salts in it.

Thanks for your help 🙂

I am with Misfortune8. Use a simple bucket from the reject shop. I like to use The body shop’s foot care products. They have a foot scrub and peppermint foot cream.

Yes I hear you! That was always what stopped me too! But then I figured if I really wanted to create the salon feel at home and make my professional pedicure visits much less often.. then I could justify it. Plus I got one for my partner too. It really is nice to relax together after work ! They do make a good gift .
And now I get a pedi done for special occasions only.. Weddings, and Xmas haha

I’ve wanted a foot spa for years, they used to be really popular and quite expensive when they first came out. I couldn’t really justify the cost and I don’t really have the space to store one. If I had the space I probably would buy one.

Cleaning is the same as how you would clean a normal bucket.. Empty the water turn it upside down to drip try. Then later give it a wipe.

I love the diy options and have been doing that for a bit but then I thought no dammit …. I was naughty and treated myself to this foot spa.. And I gotta say it is amazing. It heats the water for you, you can set a timer and just tune out. There are bubbles, vibrations and rollers ! I love it !

Thanks for the advice, i think you both just saved me a bundle. Think I would go for a trip to bunnings instead

I got my dish at a $2 shop & it`s NOT made in China! It`s Quadrant brand, it was cheap & it`s MADE IN AUSTRALIA! The Reject Shop sells some Quadrant plastic containers, but not this type. If you`ve got a Smart Dollar or Hot Dollar near you – they sell these in a variety of colours.

I’m low tech, I use a plain rectangular dish I bought specifically for pedicures. I use it regularly. In summer I use cold water, in winter I use very warm. After a good soak, I pumice off then redo my toenail polish. I’ve often meant to upgrade to a proper foot spa, but my method is good enough.

    This is the perfect size.

Yes i heartily agree with you misfortune8, as I had a foot spa for Mothers Day a few years ago when they first started to be trendy I used it a few times but what a bother, its so big and you have to find somewhere to put it when not in use and then after use you have to clean it out and make sure its not damp in case it goes mouldy. I must admit it did feel good but honestly apart from the water jiggling a bit, there is very little difference in your method and the spa..so stick with yours misfortune8, unless you have tons of space and someone buys you one as a gift , just keep on doing what your doing.

Thanks for the tip Shaper, when I see them on sale after Mothers` Day & Christmas, I always toss up buying one for myself. I guess I`ll skip it.
