Body oil recommendations

Hi fellow beauties,

Does anyone here use body oil to moisturise their skin during the dreary and cold winter months? I feel I really need that extra bit of hydration outside of my normal body lotions/balms during the winter months and I thought a body oil would be perfect for this.

The thing with body oils for me is that some of them take a while to absorb into my skin. So I am looking for any recommendations of oils that are absorbed quickly and that are natural/organic.

Thanks in advance. 🙂

Bio Oil, it’s absorbed fairly quickly, has a pleasant odor, also good for scars & stretch marks. A little goes a long way.

I actually already use Bio Oil for scar treatment (and it does work for that albeit slowly), but I actually find that I`m not a huge fan of the scent and that it does take a while to absorb.

Ahhhhhh maybe try some coconut oil. I`ve used a cotton ball to apply, so my skin takes what it needs. Weird I know, but it works for me.

I’ve been using Palmers Body Moisturizing Oil and it absorbs really quickly leaving my skin very hydrated and soft. Really great for dry skin.

I love Palmer`s products – they smell divine! Thank you for the recommendation. 🙂

I use many body moisturisers. I have an expensive MOI one. I don;t use that everyday.

I`ve never heard of dry oil before. Sounds interesting. I`ll look into it. Thanks, cosmoslyn.

The Body Shop sells a range of dry oils. I’ve found they absorb really quickly, much faster than regular oils, as long as you don’t use too much. I do think their body butters are more moisturising though.

For easily absorbed AND moisturising I would recommend MOR Marshmallow body oil.

Hi there, i have recently tried the Thursday Plantation body oil. It is not too expensive and works well. Easily absorped.
I also use body oils from Clarins when they have gifts with purchase. These are a bit thicker so i mixed them with my body creams.

I use Coconut Oil or Little Innocents Moisturiser… It is a baby cream, but it really helps with dry skin that can occur during these colder months…

That`s really interesting as I use unrefined coconut oil (from the supermarket) as a hair mask, but have not thought to double it up as a body moisturiser. Do you have a special coconut oil that you use or do you prepare it in any particular way?

No… I use the coconut Oil you buy off the shelf from the Supermarket… I just roll it in my hands to heat it a little so you can spread it on the skin… That`s it… It really nourishes the skin and leave sit feeling so smooth and soft..
