PIMPLES

Hey guys!
Generally I have really tolerable skin and rarely ever get lots and lots of pimples, but lately i’ve been getting heaps of pimples and they’re all in the same area, my chin!! I don’t know how to stop it or what’s causing it, I haven’t drastically changed anything in my skincare routine apart from add in a different toner! but I use the toner all over not just there. Please help!

I’ve been using saclycic acid products to reduce them but it just leaves marks on my skin.

Do you pop the pimples? It spreads the germs. X

When my skin goes crazy with a pimple outbreak that just wont go away I switch to just using the QV range of skin care and it really helps calm down the outbreak and stop it in its tracks!

I’ve gone back to my planner and have set beauty and diet goals for the next two weeks (things I absolutely have to check off every day). I’ve been particularly good with using the new Neutrogena stuff for my back of an evening and I’m happy to report things have calmed down dramatically in that area. Unfortunately I had a small acne breakout on my jawline which is indicative of stress and hormones (apparently from about six to eight weeks ago, so I know exactly what set that off).

Now that I’ve finished the skin care case study I was on, I can add different skin care products into my routine, but I don’t want to do anything too aggressive. I bought something I have not tried before for during the day. It’s the Jurlique Blemish Cream. I will be reintroducing quite a few products from my previous skincare routine, which included a few other products from Jurlique, Lancôme and Vanessa Megan and I’m hoping it will all calm down. I don’t want to have to go back on the pill!

After years of putting up with horrible pimples constantly appearing on my chin I changed my diet by dropping dairy and limiting bread (wheat and yeast products) and changed to mainly drinking water (minimum of 2 litres a day). The pimples have disappeared and I haven’t had any problem with them for over 2 years now. The added bonus was that I also lost 30kg by eating whole foods and exercising again. I’m amazed by how a change in diet can affect our skin so dramatically. I have before and after photos and I can’t believe how bad my skin was!

I’m not too sure if this is a late post but I’ve was in the same boat for the past 3 weeks. I’ve been drinking a lot of water which has helped clear my skin up.

@morgo1 mentioned that Sukin helps as well! I’ve been using the Sukin super greens clay mask and Aveeno to stop my skin from drying out.

Also, I’ve been using Tea Tree Oil from Thursday Plantation. I would dab on a bit on my pimple and the next day, it would reduce in size!

I`m going to start doing that in the mornings I think. I can`t do it in the evenings as the smell is a bit too much for me but during the day it`s okay. The spots on my back are really annoying me!

Have to agree that the smell can be too much at times!
But also, I`ve realised that it can dry up the skin very quickly! I figured that this only happened because I put way too much tea tree oil!

Let me know how it goes!

I don’t think there is any quick fix, but I highly recommend the Sukin Purifying face Masque as a preventative. For me that, combined with using Cetaphil products, has really helped clear my skin to the best of its ability.

I also find that just doubling the amount of water I drink every day really helps to stop them from coming up, but I think that would depend on what’s causing them in the first place.

I went to Priceline today and bought a couple of Neutrogena products to use on my back. For some reason I’ve had a breakout there! Not happy. Just the little ones, not the big painful mountains of hell you get on your chin or jaw that can turn into volcanoes ov pus, pain and scarring for life…

For reducing your pimple problem, you can apply Tretinoin containing cream or gel.

I use the Skin Ugly Bits Stick on pimples !

    Appropriate name for sure.

It’s a concentrated roller ball of Magnesium oil by

Not cheap at RRP $39.95 (I got it cheaper direct from Amazing Oils as an introductory offer ages ago) and I purchased it for skin tags – didn’t work but I’d say I wasn’t applying it enough times a day.

You may find it in health foods stores and on line sites but here’s the amazing oils (Australia) link
