Has any one got any tips on kids throwing there dinner around, I find it so annoying and frustrating that I go through so much effort in trying to prepare them a nutritious meal only to have them not apprecite it, they are 2 and 4yo help
it's hard and it's bloody annoying when they show such disrespect. I have a 17.5month old and he's trying to do such things to push my buttons. This is what i do and i must say, it works a treat.
I explain very calmly to him, that if he does not eat his dinner, there is NO YOGHURT and NO MILK, there is nothing until I decide to give him breakfast so he is not to get up early. He usually eats his dinner then. If he doesn't he gets no yoghurt and no milk and he goes to bed hungry. When he wakes at around 5am crying, i go to his room, lay him back down and tell him, nothing until breakfast.
I've only had to do the full treatment twice, he knows what it means and he doesn't like it so he usually eats his dinner.
Also for the 4 year old, perhaps you can explain to them that you are going to sit and feed them like a little baby because they are not big enough to do it themselves. That usually gets them into gear, they don't want to be treated like babies.
You have to stand firm though, it can be hard if you're not that way inclined but my word it works even if you have to go through it a few times first.
i have heard it is part of their learning curve.you just have to be patient.as long as they eat.kids won't stay hungry.unless their much older than this maybe 6 or7.then they are more interested in other things like playing and forget to eat or get bored very quickly.
My little boy is 10 months, has always refused a bib-will scream and pull at it until you take it off and then he's happy and he'll start eating. So no bibs, sometimes we have a bit of a messy shirt, but most times he just eats without playing or making much mess, as he loves his food. He even makes that 'num num' sound a lot while he eats.
Yes my son was the same with a bib, much better off without it I'm sure a bit of extra washing I could cope with just as long as he was eating something :)
Oh my I am glad I am not the only one who HATES feed times.
My little boy is 10 months old....he wont wear a bib and he wont sit in the high chair...so I tend to feed him just in his nappy and hose him down practically after a feed.
I give him a mouthful and off he crawls....comes back and as I am about to put the spoon in he either closes his mouth or flings an arm around. He also used to do what emms23 kid did, rub face over mouth hair eyes...food would just go everywhere.
Now there are stains on the carpet cause he wont sit still in feed times.
Ohh but when i am eating he is all over me like a rash, holding onto me and jumping up and down for my food..what a little guts!
This conditioner is by far one of my favourite.
I like that this shampoo provides cleansing of my hair without too much foam when washing.
I love this product . The smell is amazing good for cleansing the skin of built up dirt.
