Day Routines

I’d like to know what you all have done with your bubbas during the day. I have a really good routine that he goes by but when i put him to bed he just naps for an hour and then lays there awake laughing and squeeking. i feel mean leaving him until he is due to get up but if i do get him up he gets tired and grumpy within 30mins. he’s perfect at night, but i think he should be sleeping more in the day, i thought he should be having maybe 2 hours of really good rest between up times?

oh my poor baby. i don`t put up with any of that unless he`s unwell. hahaha, a few more months on and i`ve got his measure, as you saw the other day gem.

Why don`t you put your daughter in a front carry all, it straps to your front leaving your arms free to do whatever, (depending how old she is of course because of the weight)

I wish I had aroutine with my daughter! I had her in one then she changed it! I have had a sleep expert in to try to help me with settling as some nights we would walk the hallway til 11-12 at night! She is so stubborn(like her father!) and she can be dog tired but refuses to go to sleep.
I have tried almost everything! At the moment she is getting her 1st molar so I have to be patient. Slowly but surely…. I`m hoping to have her in a routine before she turns 10!!

It depends on the age of your baby as they get older they sleep less. My bub is 7mths. He wakes at 6 for a feed of milk, gets breakfast (solids) at 7.30 then has a nap at 8 for approx 30mins. We then play until 10am when he gets his next milk feed, he then naps for approx 1hr, he then gets solid feed at 1pm, nap at 1.30 untill 2pm when he gets next milk feed. Naps at 4 untill 6ish then gets his milk and solid feed. We then play until 8 when he goes to bed for the night, he only wakes if hes teething or sick.

it could be due to the teething for sure! if she is crying when you put her to bed early in the night try the controlled crying method or try to wear ger out with more physical activie in the afternoon! good luck

even thi he is laying in bed chatting to himself he is still resting and will fall to sleep he really needs ones, dont worry to much about it just try to lay down and rest yourself while he is content on chatting away and enjoying his own company!

i just find it really frustrating as he is only 6months and theoretically should be sleeping a little more. i`ve tried to drop him back to 2 sleeps but he just turns festy. that`s the thing, he`s content to lay in bed and chat to himself but if i get him up he is tired in no time. arghhh! just when you get it down they change it again. little monkey.

my daughter is up @ 7am has her breakfast. we go for a walk and I put her down for her afternoon nap around 12. She sleeps anything from an hour to 2 (it used to be two naps per day however in the last couple of months it`s only one) and then is up til 8.30pm however she is known to go down later than that at times. This is a pretty standard routine and I try to keep it that way however it may change if we go out or she is grizzly and teething but the above is the norm most of the time.

My darrrling daughter only sleeps for an hour during the day and lately refuses to go to bed until late at night – then shes up early – shes teething at the moment so it could be due to this.
