2 weeks until my little girl is two!

How many other Mummas never really get over the fact their babies are growing up? I swear I look at my little girl Lily every day and think ‘Oh my god, she’s so big! Where did the time go?’

So her birthday is on the 16th of November, with her party being the 13th, I am so excited, this year she will be able to understand what’s going on a bit better and we have a lot more kids coming this year. Did you find the first year was mainly family members at the party? That’s what it was like for us haha.

Haha yep, our lounge room has been taken over by toys so it’s time to get stuck into it and clean out some of the toys!

Aww a happy birthday for her next month. My daughter just turned 4 on the 7th October and my little man turns 2 on Feb 22nd next year.. The time just flies, but each year we have more and more kiddies at the parties as my sister’s have kids and so do our friends. Good luck with the party and hope she gets spoilt rotten.. I know mine did and my house can seriously rival the toy department at big w LOL 🙂

My son will be 2 in jan. Only recently he has started interacting with other kids so I am tempted to do something for his bday as he will actually get something out of it. I didnt really do much for his 1st bday – had some of his mothersgroup playmates over on the actual day then a few weeks later had all of the fam over.

We are probably going to go a bit stingy present wise on Christmas/bday as it is most likely the last year we can get away with doing so!! He has no interest in presents…though does like toys so we will prob give him one toy and santa will give him one toy…but then I’m sure the family will go crazy! Depending on what he receives we may get some more for his bday. Last year i was sneaky and wrapped up his pressies for xmas, left him one toy to play with then rewrapped them all for his bday!! I think I ended up putting most of them away in the cupboard anyway and waited until he was seeming bored before getting them out.

I’m finding it hard to know what to get him. All he is interested in is balls. My folks have gotten him a t-ball set. I saw this cool martian play centre thing that i liked but i can just see him playing with it for two minutes before losing interest

Maybe get him a ball pit? We got Lily a giant swimming pool last year and 500 or 600 ball pit balls (didn’t look like that much at all!) and she loved it – it’s now packed up because we just don’t have the room for it anymore since a friend moved in with is.

This year I have sternly said NO TOYS because everyone went nuts last year and now we have to go through and sort out with ones to keep and give away. I know people will still buy her toys though.

We got her a swingset, Hello Kitty plush and some shoes with cupcakes on me for her birthday. Christmas we are giving her a bed, so excited to see her in a big girl bed, yet again realising she is growing way too fast haha.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Her Daddy and I decided we want a patio out the back and he is out there every chance he gets, cleaning up the yard, laying new turf and now he’s getting onto the patio so at least the flooring will be down before her party <3

My girl is 2 on the 31st oct….HALLOWEEN!!! Im proud of her and I have enjoyed the time… these days i dont think so much where did the time go
I just embrace the time and watch her with amazement she impresses me everyday and she has such great knowledge and manners already :D. Im sure time will fly when new bubz is born due date march 5th, 2012.

Haha my partner’s birthday is the 31st also! We were hoping Lily was going to be born on the 13th because it would’ve been Friday the 13th hehe.

What are you doing for her birthday? It does make you so proud seeing the little people they are becoming, like today, Lily said yes please and thank you to everything I asked and gave to her! I am so proud of her.
