1st Birthday

We are coming up to lil ones big 1st birthday and I’m still not sure what to do?!?!?
Can anyone throw some ideas at me? I’m not looking at anything too big as she will not remember it.
Thanks!

Congratulations to you! For the pregnancy and making it through the first birthday party with all of it`s dilemmas! My son Wil is 22 months now and the only thing I know I won`t do this year is make a cake that`s too complicated. I did the cake for his 1st birthday and it was 22 little cupcakes each painted with different colour icing. I had 8 colours in total having to mix them all myself with basic icing mixture and colouring. They had a ribbon attached so that they looked like a bunch of balloons. It took me about 3 hours to ice them all. Looked great but what a challenge!

I still don`t know how far along I am yet!! But I`m as sick as a dog with morning sickness that lasts all day! 🙁
    Fingers crossed It goes soon!

Jordy`s birthday was on the weekend and it all went well. On saturday we had the party at home and had all party food. She loved having all the kiddies over to play. On Sunday we went to a resturant with a play ground, had 35 people there and she loved the play ground and the company. I don`t think she liked her cake though… She threw it on the floor!!! But on monday we had her in hospital with an inner ear infection and viral infection. 🙁
But we also found out today Jordyn`s going to have a little brother or sister in 9 months!!!

Theres two weeks to go and I`m starting to stress!!! I know I shouldn`t but I just cant believe my little girl is turning one! 🙁 It feels like yesterday that I was walking out of hospital with my little 5 pound baby. Did all the other Mummy`s feel this way too???? Or am I just a sook?

When my daughter turned 1 last year we went all out with a `fairy tale creatures` theme – trophies for best dressed in different categories and everything. While I loved it and had a great time I would have done well to remember that the 1st birthday is more for the parents than the baby…. They`re too little to enjoy it as much as you will, so be aware of that with your planning and make sure you mark the milestone of surviving 1 year with bubba!

Oh I love a fairy theme. I`ll probably do something like that when my daughter is a little older. It`s lovely that you took your sun to the beach for lunch melmeko. I`m sure he enjoyed himself 🙂 Your party idea sounds great jordymum. All the adults can have a drink or coffee while all the little ones have a play. Lets us know how it all goes 🙂

My bub turned one on April 28th. I didn`t bother with a party but we just took him down the beach and had some lunch. Let him play in the sand and on the swings etc. Then had some cake. He enjoyed it. At one I think they are to young to know what is going on anyway.
