Youth Homelessness Matters Day

Today is Youth Homelessness Matters Day. On any night in Australia, about 28,000 young people between the ages of 12 to 24 are experiencing homelessness. Here are a few links on this issue:

I was aware that youth homelessness is a massive issue in Australia, but I had not heard of Youth Homelessness Matters Day until last night when I saw Tommy Little (comedian) appear on The Project last night:

    Thank you for shedding light on this issue!!! more needs to be done to stop people falling through the cracks… It is so sad to see and more needs to be done…

    How is it possible to have this figure in this country Petal. Something is wrong with our family structures. Treat our kids better or don’t have them.
