Hi Beauties:)

I am contemplating wether or not to get a plan with Virgin Mobile, but I was just wondering if any of you guys had it and what your experience is with them. How good is the coverage and customer service??

Hi there One-Direction fan, I’m with Virgin Mobile I’ve been with this company for year’s they are the best, I haven’t been on a plan with Virgin so I can’t tell you anything there but I’m on pre-paid with Virgin & pay $19 month that gives me $250 credit & 250 mb to use also free calls & text’s to other’s with Virgin. The coverage is not very good with an old phone it’s better if you have a smartphone or anything else & customer service they are fantastic. This is my opinion although plan’s are great when you don’t have the cash to actually buy the phone you want straight out right & you get good deal’s with it too but it works out cheaper to get pre-paid instead. Go to the website & check it out for yourself.

Directioner Forever I found this link on line for Virgin Coverage (not too user friendly on my phone but sorta works) – you can call up an address as well so can check your home address for your coverage.

I have an uncle in a country town that didn’t have virgin coverage (telstra is best) so purchased a cheap telstra phone to top up and use there. I’d let it expire but amazingly on my last visit 2 mths ago I had Virgin coverage!

I then noticed a new phone tower on a hill in town and looking at this site it says

GOOD NEWS! Did you know we plan to roll out 4G plus in this area!

Well it’s there! So not sure how up to date the map is but might help.

Looking at the actual map Wollongong looks to have good coverage too!

Not sure this is topic should be on this site.

Don’t go with Vodafone if you travel outside a large city.

Virgin is fabulous if you live in a major city and plan to stay there. But coverage n regional areas is not fabulous.

We use Virgin for the whole family because their plans include free sms /text as long as its within the same cover. My plan is only $30/mth because I am using an old Samsung model and my contract was over . With coverage is good , but you wont get reception in certain areas such as in a shopping centre or train where you are under the tunnel. If you want that , my son said his friends says Telstra was the best even though it is a bit higher on price but reception is good everywhere you go . I would look at different plans on the websites , then go to a shopfront as well if you can before making a decision. Good luck 🙂

One website to research mobile phone companies is Whirlpool. They have lots and lots of threads relating to phone companies, mobile phones, computers, modems etc. Just do a search for Virgin Mobile in the website:

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/114

Another website to search for feedback on mobile phone companies:

I don’t have virgin now but I did a few years ago and didn’t have any issues that I can recall. I think they have quite a few good deals at the moment. But these days there are not many companies that have good customer service!!

I am with Vodafone & they are terrible but the plan works for me so I stick it out. Landline is with Optus and their customer service is terrible as well…
