Shower Thoughts

I just saw this thread and CherryBlossom, you have made me lol! Why do you think about the video from that song? Does it have a shower scene? The only part I remember is when they’re all singing at the end of it….have to go and YouTube it now haha!!

I tend to re-enact scenes/monologues from movies or shows, lately I’ve been quoting/re-enacting mafia films.
Also if someone or something as been bothering me, I tend think about how I’m going to handle that situation (…err, this isn’t related to the re-enacting mafia moves at all hahaha)

This is probably gonna be the strangest one. I’m a writer, so most of my story ideas come when I’m having a shower or when I’m about to fall asleep! xD Some interesting ones here!

I’m normally going through what i have to do for the day and singing most of the time haha

Ok so now I’m sitting here singing and since I don’t want to sing alone I’m posting the lyrics …..I dare anyone who’s old enough to know the song not to sing the whole thing, I just don’t think it’s humanly possible, once this song gets in your head it’s there to stay 😀

Before I get into the shower, I have to make sure I’m really awake, because there have been times when I’ve been caught inside my shower, doing my business and then I see a big spider, and ofcourse, I’m awake by that sight, and then I have to scramble and shoo it off with the hot water, (sorry spider lovers, I don’t have any other choice being buck naked in a small space with something that can, will and did bite me).

Once I’m in my shower, I try to relax, but I have a wall clock on the opposite wall, so I’m checking the time, and I also have a calendar on a nearby wall, so I confirm the day and date in my mind by having a quick look.

I also have to remember to shampoo, cleanse, maybe double cleanse, use face wash, use soap, body scrub, shave (if needed). So I try not to forget these things.

I try my best to relax and inhale for a few seconds and do nothing and let the hot water soothe my worries and tension away, and I always imagine the Foreigner video from “I want to know what love is…….I want you to show me……” song and I hear Lou Gramm.

I’m soooo showing my age!!!! 🙂

great forum topic – and love how the conversation’s veered off to dissect zombie literature! Hilarious.

My most recent shower thought was about a fancy salad recipe to use for a dinner party. I was trying to remember whether I had some of the ingredients still from the last time I made it (in hindsight I probably shouldn’t have strained my brain and just waited to check the pantry instead haha).

I like sunjeanie’s shower thought – what a perfect time to reflect on the day’s events!

I know I have a habit of thinking about what I could have said or done better during the day whilst in the shower. However if I have music playing I generally just have my mind on that. 😛

In the shower, I’m also usually planning what to wear & reminding myself not to forget things I’ve got to do during the day.

The hypnogogic thoughts however, WHOA!
Eg. Since zombies eat dead bodies, why don’t they chase & eat each other?

I keep a diary of my hypnogogic thoughts (those thoughts you have just before you drift off to sleep that is in between a dream and active thinking). I know, I’m the next level crazy!

I haven’t thought of having a shower thought diary though because it isn’t that exciting. I shower every morning and I’m usually in a rush. I’m mostly planning my day in the head. Other than that just how tangly and unnamanageable my hair is going to be or which new shampoo to buy or what to wear for the day!
