Recycle Old Perfume bottles

Hi beauties,

I am after recycling old or empty perfume bottles.. I love keeping the empty bottles and have plenty of them and want to recycle them. I am not best of a DIY person so really struggling in that department. I already had a look on YouTube . Any ideas or suggestions on recycling them in a better way

The only ones I could think of were as a reed diffuser or like lindylou said, as a vase. I googled ‘upcycle perfume bottle’ and found some really good ideas here: https://homehacks.co/upcycle-old-perfume-bottles/ Good luck!

Over the years I’ve collected heaps of little bottles of perfumes. I’m sure a lot of them are past their best now, but I display them in my bathroom.

Some of the bottles are gorgeous aren’t they. Over the years I’ve picked up a lot of sample bottles (not the ones you get in the little card from Myer and DJ) and I keep them on a small bathroom shelf. They aren’t in direct sunlight so the scent is still good.

Did you want to recycle or up-cycle? If you want to up-cycle you could use them as small one stem vases depending if you can remove the tops and how big they are. If you paint them all the one colour and display them together on a shelf with some dried flowers in them that could look pretty.

I commented a few hours ago, but it didn’t go on here. Anyway, Dreamy if you don’t want to keep the bottles but don’t want to throw them out there are people who collect perfume bottles and may want them. You could advertise on Gumtree or Facebook marketplace and give them away

Do you want to put them on display? Maybe on a shelf or cabinet? , you could buy food colouring from the supermarket and refill them with colored water.

I suppose you could decant other liquids into them , maybe fill a clean bottle with your toner and other liquids. I don’t use much perfume but some of those bottles are really like artworks in themselves and so pretty I wouldn’t want to throw them away either.
