No advice, just in awe. Such a tough thing to do these days. Congratulations. would love some advice from you as to how you did it, what city etc

Congratulations NellAdams on moving into your first house. now enjoy turning it into ‘home’.

Furnish and decorate to what you all love, you don’t have to go with the trends, but go with your heart and feelings.

As for maintenance, if it is a new build it should have builder’s insurance cover, for a set period of time, don’t be afraid to use it.

We have built several houses, including our home that we have been in for a bit over 20 years, many happy memories made. In my later working years, I worked for a construction company, very interesting…….If you have any questions, just ask, I am sure someone should have advice.

Find a home for everything you own; keep like with like. If you can’t find a home for something, do you really need it. Donate it. If you buy something new, donate one item so that you don’t have to declutter in the future.

Congratulations on your new home Nell – it is exciting when you move into a new home. I just found looking at mags gives you some ideas on what you want to do.

I guess you decide what kind of furniture you both love – my hubby and I had the same tastes so as soon as we saw something for our house, we both liked it and got it. It can be so much fun starting off with new stuff in your new home. Just have fun with it all.
