Diamond studs

Hi all!!

I have 2 piercings and at the moment I have a tiny pair of yellow gold diamond studs in my second holes. I normally wear yellow gold.

I got a small inheritance and was thinking of spending some of it on another pair. However I was thinking of white gold. My thoughts are when I wear silver jewellery occasionally I can swap them into my second hole. However if I wore them in the first holes with the second with yellow gold – would it look wierd?
The mix of yellow/white gold I mean.

Would love to have everyone’s opinions!!
Not looking at big studs – maybe like .75 total between the 2 studs would be the biggest I’d go for.

Thanks !!

There are some people who would not mix different coloured gold. I have a belcher necklace which has a repeating pattern of 4 white gold then 4 yellow gold loops and I wear it with either coloured jewellery.

Even without that necklace I wear any colour gold together at the same time.

I don’t think mixing white gold with yellow gold is odd. White gold will make the diamond stud looks bigger too.

No. It at all! I think it looks better having gold and white gold I always mix them.

It’s very common now. I wear a mixture of white, rose and yellow gold rings on my right hand. My wedding rings are all yellow gold. Do what makes you feel happy.

I wear a mix of white and yellow gold, I often get compliments on how well they mix together so I say go for it.

I don’t think it will look weird. I have pieces of jewellery that are made with 2 different metals, it’s not uncommon. My eternity ring is handmade with sterling silver overlapping bands held together with a gold bar and gold dots on either side. If the studs are small then it won’t be really noticeable anyway.
