Best Vacuum Cleaner?

Hey everyone.
So my vacuum cleaner recently died. We had bought it from bunnings for $50. But now we would like to invest in a good one. Any suggestions? We are looking for one which is good on carpets, hair on carpets and tiles.
Thank you.

I’ve had a nilfisk for over 10 years, I bought this brand because a lot of cleaners have them. I did want a Dyson at the time. Im really happy with it although its not bagless. My parents have a Dyson that is even older, 15+ years. I think with pet hair on carpets its all about the head you have on the unit. Also look out for the width of the head. The wider the head, the less work you have to do in the long run. Good luck with your purchase.

I am currently using a Dyson. I have animals at home too so a strong suction really helps to control the hair.

I’ve just been through 3 years of cheap & nasty vacuum cleaners – 4 in total. Finally I invested in a Bosch one from Harvey Norman. Yes the sales lady recommended it but boy I have not regretted buying it. Only had it about 6 months but I love it. It glides behind me rather than having to pull and swear at my old ones. Great suction too.
Do your homework Ess Elle. Actually use the vacuum in store to make sure it is the right height for you without having to bend or hunch over causing back pain. Alternatively borrow different brands from friends & family on YOUR floor because different carpets effect the vacuum head. Good luck!

If you’re on a budget, Kmart has a hoover that is meant to be on par with Dyson suction wise.
It collects hair off carpets/linel/tiles really well (have a cat and a sister with really long hair). It was about 49-79 if memory serves.

I also have a Dyson but I don’t use it often as the long hair wraps around the head and it stops rolling.

I purchased one of these, it is $79. It works great, I have owned it about three months now and I`ve had no issues. The extension cord isn`t as long as a Dyson but I don`t find it an issue.

Highly recommend the Dyson. I’ve had mine for a few years now and it works the same as it did when I first purchased it. Never had any issues and the cordless design makes it so easy to get into hard to reach places. I have a cat and it picks up hair off carpets and tiles so easily. Absolutely love and recommend. It is a bit pricey but a great investment seeing as it lasts for so long. I had been through about 4 other vacuums before I finally succumbed and purchased this one. Best decision ever!
