Bagless Vacuum cleaners

My vacuum cleaner has died, haven’t had a bagless vacuum cleaner before and am thinking of buying one. Can anyone recommend a good bagless vacuum cleaner, probably looking at spending up to $350 – $400max.

My dyson is the best!!! I’ve had it for over 10 years and it is still going strong!!! Highly recommended!!! I bought an origin series one… It was around $400 on sale…

I have a Hoover, cost around $600 but given i have pets, young kids and carpets, thought i’d splurge. Definitely does the job. Maybe check if a place like Godfreys are still doing trade ins, or end of financial year sales?

Hi Hayley644, I am also currently shopping around for a vacuum cleaner, so will be happy to hear the responses. I read the reviews for the $75.00 Kmart bagless vacuum and wondering if I can get actually get a good vacuum for that price. The reviews for it seems to be consistently good.

We recently went vacuum shopping, were looking for a bagless but in the end went with the bagged as we found they were more powerful especially for the money – Miele does really good vacuums and you will find a few in that price range. We’ve been so happy with with ours, got the Pet one for around $340 on sale at Good Guys. We actually had a bagless before it, a Dyson which was good but nowhere near as good as the Miele we just replaced it with. Every now and again there are discounts as Harvey Norman and JB that would put the put the Dyson barrel one into your price range which is the one we had and it was pretty good, lasted us a good 7 years and still working without problems.

Thanks for the reply, the one I have which has just died was a Miele, it was quite expensive and hasn`t lasted that long so I was disappointed with it .Hope yours lasts longer than mine did.
