Autumn Blues

Ive noticed with the cooler weather and the foggy mornings that I’m really struggling to feel positive. I take Vitamin D, walk and do yoga/meditation once a week and count my blessings.

Autumn is gorgeous in the garden but I dread the thought of winter – Maybe I need to move to sunny QLD!

Anyone else get the Autumn blues?

I get seasonal depression pretty bad. The cold weather drains me so much, I never have any energy.
It’s quite bizarre because I never used to get this down in winter before I lost a lot of weight. I feel the cold a lot more these days so maybe that’s related somehow… ‍♀️

I see Sydney is 26deg today. OMG…it is nearly winter and still high temps happening. It is meant to be raining here but nothing happening, quite warm outside and my clothes are drying nicely on the line. A happy golfer too with no rain in sight.

Yes Vitamin D is essential to our health. I am sorry you have Hashimotos Harmony Queen – I haven’t heard of it before and did a quick google. It must be a constant struggle and I wish you well Xx

Winter cold can get a gloomy and take Vit D and calcium for the bones , My doc stresses D is very important for cell renewal so keep on taking that . Have to be careful with everything as I have Hashimotos as well , but stable .

Awww I feel you so much on this!! I am really going to be upset/difficult to get out of bed when winter truly hits and I am trying to hit the gym in the am before work and it’s so challenging.

I think it’s honestly such a personal thing, I grew up in one of THE coldest places in Canada and have always always been a summer baby…I love the warmth and sunshine. Where I was from we had lots of sunny days, but blisteringly cold.

    I don’t think I could ever handle living in -40s to -50s again….BRHHH

I get cold/chilly now in 15s hahaha…Times have changed for sure.

Sounds like you need some sunshine. Good news! Time for a holiday somewhere warm. Joint pain usually has to do with air pressure changes – ie weather. Google it. It’s quite common. Some people react with Migraines for the same reason.

I’m on the outskirts of Sydney and the autumn days have been glorious so far except for maybe 2 or 3. Mind you, once the sun sets the temperature drops very quickly and we need the gas fire on. Tomorrow is expected to be 27°C which will be perfect. With winter only 11 days away I’m not looking forward to the cold, damp days ahead.

So sorry to hear that beautiful autumn is a bit of a non-fave period of the year Lola!

This is the time of the year when I get most ecstatic!! Weather in Sydney is aaaamazing, and wearing some minimal clothing does not make me die from self-combustion. Can finally wear some short sleeve and not only singlets…and longer dresses. Even pants! The most comfortable and beautiful season I think here =D

I am a cold weather person and can not wait even fresher days and less sunlight hours! Love love!!

I’m not suffering from the Autumn blues yet as Sydney’s been pretty warm thus far. We’ve had a few colder days, but overall it’s behaving like Spring tbh, with the exception of chilly mornings.

I’m much more of a warm weather girl than a cold weather girl. I enjoy the colder months for all of about 5 minutes – by the end of June I start dreaming of warmer climes & tropical holidays lol. Don’t get me wrong, I like my boots & coats etc, but the cold wreaks havoc with my skin (I’m prone to eczema at this time of year) & my body hates being cold in general (not to mention that my blood circulation isn’t great for someone in their mid-30’s). Then again, I also hate really hot days (especially if they’re also humid) as I find it difficult to sleep then at night. I think somewhere between 24-30C is my kind of weather.

I live in Sth East Qld and we haven’t had any cold weather yet, still about 17 overnight. Have had a bit of rain which we do need but is quite unusual for this time of year. I’m finding it harder to get motivated to exercise now that the days are shorter.
