21st Birthday Suggestions

My niece is turning 21 in a few months. Am going to ask my sister in law if she has any suggestions for her daughter. Anyone have any suggestions for 21st gifts, I sort of think turning 18 seems to be a bigger thing these days than turning 21 but I could be wrong. Don’t really want to give money or a gift card would prefer to give an actual gift. She is into clothes and makeup. Was thinking of jewellery ie earrings, purse ie mimco, hair straightening brush . Any suggestions appreciated – thanks!!

If she has a charm bracelet – add a charm for her, or buy the bracelet. I got lots of jewellery for my 21st. Pandora rings are lovely too. Classy perfume, or beauty gift packs are a good idea. I’m not a big fan of giftcards – if you’re not sure what to buy, just give money. That way she could even save it if she wanted to.

If she still lives at home – you could buy things for her glory box/hope chest. Red Balloon or Groupon would have some experiences she might like – from extreme activities like skydiving, or as mellow as high tea.

18ths a such a Booze Up – and many are not yet 18! I’ve been through 3 at home – not a pretty sight!

21 yo are a bit more mature(a bit!)

If she loves stuffed plush animals there is a site that is called My Teddy – they have so many kinds and you can get her name, date of birth or special things written on them. They are doing really well. They even had some for Father’s Day so not just for kids.

Mecca has amazing gift sets right now and I am a fragrance enthusiast so I believe as part of a women’s journey of adulthood, they should start growing their own little fragrance collection. I would suggest to take her to shopping and see what kinds of scent she is into then surprise her with it on her birthday 🙂

I MIMCO bag would probably make her lose her mind, or even a MECCA voucher (vouchers are always a safe bet so they can choose what they want)

Does she like perfume? My auntie would always buy very nice, classy perfumes for my birthdays and it was very special, it was something that we both shared and liked. If she likes perfumes you could get her one she has had her eye on for a while so she will have a special connection from you whenever she wears it =)
Otherwise, a hair straightening brush or a nice piece of jewellery should go down a treat.

a 12-month subscription to a beauty box so she’ll remember you every month when she opens her box of goodies. Try bellabox but perhaps other Beauties can suggest other delivery services.

A classic piece of jewellery that won’t date is something she can wear forever. In my experience popular choices are: gold or silver golf bangle or locket/charm-type bracelet (I am not a pandora fan but these seem to be popular), chain with locket/pendant, gold or silver hoops or stud earrings in her birthstone. Mimco have some nice classic pieces in the ever popular rose gold tone.

21st birthdays will always win over 18th for something special for me, Hayley, but I’m ancient!! I made my special niece a photo album, which she still treasures many years later. It was a padded cover with pages that could be added.

Do you have access to photos of your niece from when she was born to have made into an album for her? I’ve just realised how much I’m showing my age!!!!!! I still make and keep photo albums but not many do any longer.

A special piece of jewellery is always lovely.
