Easy ways to make your pedicure last longer
There’s no better foot feeling than getting a professional pedi, so why wouldn’t you want to prolong the results for as long as possible?
Rather than forgetting all about your tootsies as soon as you step out of the salon, there are a few things you can do at home to keep the feel of your soft and smooth soles going.

Watch our step-by-step video above or check out our tips below on how to make your pedicure last longer, and treat your feet to some TLC.
#1 Massage your feet every day
Or con your hubby into doing it for you, whatever you can get away with!
#2 Remove dead skin
If you do it frequently enough, exfoliating your feet with a scrub like The Aromatherapy Feet Pumice Scrub should keep dead, rough skin at bay. But if you’re in need of something more heavy duty, go for a tool like the Scholl Velvet Smooth.

#3 Moisturise at night
And be generous! Some of our beautyheaven members like to slather on foot cream, then pop on a pair of socks to keep the moisture in while they sleep - like a DIY foot mask.

Indeed, there is no better foot feeling than a pedicure. However I prefer doing my own pedi at home because I don't trust salon for a perfect job :P Thanks for the article and massage tips. I can't find time for a weekly pedicure so I try to at least moisturise and massage them nightly before bed. Once in a long time, if needed, I would use a foot exfoliating mask. I like the sound of the new wet and dry version from Scholl.

I love getting a pedicure. I dislike doing my own toenails but love doing my own fingernails. I just need to apply foot cream more frequently.

I DIY. I've got a dish I use for soaking, then pumice my heels & redo my nails. Regularity is the key. I LOVE the Oblepikha foot cream too. It smells out of this world!

I look after my feet. I use a file once a week in summer. And I moisturise them when I am doing my regular moisturising. And they have looked great all summer.

I adore pedicures but haven't had one for a long time and I miss them. I do moisturise my feet every night before bed and my feet are soft as a result - it really does make a difference. Also, it feels very therapeutic.

I tend to treat others to pedicures but neglect my own feet. I think I will try moisturising my feet at night and putting a sock on.

This is something I like to do for myself occasionally. If I have those few spare moments, I'll use my Scholl Pedi (thanks BH), give them a rinse and Bob's your uncle Fanny your aunt. However the easiest habit to get into is to put at least a nice moisturiser on your feet before hopping into bed. If you can do it for your hands, why not your feet? Makes the world of difference.

I've never done any DIY treatments for my feet. Just at times painted my nails. These sound great :)

I have done the overnight mask for my feet. I have to do that more often because my feet are becoming terribly dry

A great reminder. Thanks Samantha! I can't stand anyone else touching my feet, so I have to do at home pedicures. I haven't had time to do one for a while, but I might have a 'me' weekend coming up :)

I love treating myself to pedicures - even if it's not the whole shebang - I try to do something for my feet whenever I can. I love the look of the Nutrimetics foot scrub there!
