Holy Grail of expert tips - Hands & Feet

"[To avoid ingrown toenails] always trim the nails straight across - you can buy clippers that have a straight blade. If you don't have them then avoid rounding off the nail." -Alison Bowhill-Hayes, Sally Hansen Nail Expert
"A mismatched feature nail is the 'edgier' version of nail art. In a set of nude nails, try two glitter nails next to each other on the one hand and a single glitter nail on the other! In summer add a feature toe nail." -Rebecca Najjar, Education Ambassador at CND
"Apply cuticle oil BEFORE removing your nail polish - it helps stop the acetone drying out the skin around your nails." -bh member notsojayne
"To ensure your polish is good to the last drop, always make sure the neck of your polish bottle is clean and the lid is replaced correctly every time." -Nicole Moore, Education Ambassador at CND
"Washing dishes is a chore, [but you can] make it a treatment by applying cuticle oil and then wearing cotton gloves under your rubber gloves. The warmth from the dish water will help the cuticle oil penetrate deeply into the nails and surrounding skin." -Nicole Moore, Education Ambassador at CND
What's your best nail care tip? Will you be trying out any of the above?

I love my Jamberry nails too. Lasts much longer, so many different styles, easy to apply and remove and they work for me.

The Jamberry name is familiar to me, but now I'm going to do a Google search on it to find out more.

I do not bother to do anything on my feet, they are in great shape, just cutting toenails and on rare occasions nail polish. That is it. Wearing forever just comfy shoes/snickers most of the time and only cotton socks, so feet are very healthy . That helps

I really love the tip about wearing a cuticle oil and cotton gloves underneath your rubber gloves when washing the dishes. That's a great tip.

Oooh I like that last tip! I normally avoid washing the dishes when I have had my nails done however since I'm in the process of splitting from my partner that's an awesome tip! And maybe a face mask too! :)

I like the tip about using cuticle oil before putting on gloves for doing the dishes. I might just put a bottle next to the dishwashing detergent.

If you have an ingrown toenail just once in your life, you cut your toenails straight every time thereafter. I do a regular pedi soak too. I love the tip about applying cuticle oil BEFORE removing nail polish! I use cuticle balm, but same principle, I'll have to try that.

I'm a feature nail fan, however I also love a bare nail too.

I heard about the tip to prevent ingrown nails years ago. I try to avoid rounding off the corners, but sometimes the ends of my toenails snap - probably because they're fragile. I need to invest in some better quality clippers.

But what if you have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom with clingwrap and socks on?
