Road-tested: Milky Foot Active Pads
WARNING: This video is not for feet-haters. But if you’ve been suffering from rough, dry heels or rock-hard calluses, you’re definitely going to want to watch until the end.
Milky Foot is an at-home intense peeling treatment for feet. bh’s Laura kindly volunteered to try it, so you could see exactly how it works. As summer is just around the corner, it’s the ideal time to start prepping your feet (hello, sandal weather!) and Milky Foot is certainly one hard-working option.
But a picture (or in this case, a video) says a thousand words, so go on - watch it. Or, if you’re not that keen on surprises, you can scroll down at your own pace to see what happens below…
How to use Milky Foot Active Pads
#1 First, make sure your feet are clean and dry, as well as free of nail polish, moisturiser and fake tan.
#2 Cut along the dotted line of the foot pad and then place one on each foot.
#3 Leave on for 45-60 minutes, keeping your feet relaxed and flat on the ground so the product is covering your feet evenly. Once the time is up, remove your feet, rinse them in warm water and towel-dry them.
#4 Your feet will start peeling within 3-7 days and can peel for up to a week, but you shouldn’t feel any pain.
#5 Once the peeling starts, you can speed up the process by soaking your feet in warm water.
#6 As tempting as it might be, do not pull on the peeling skin - just let it fall off naturally.
#7 Also, this may sound gross, but it’s a good idea to wear socks to bed to catch the dead skin as it falls off overnight.
#8 Milky Foot is such an easy way to achieve smooth feet and you can repeat the process every two months.
#9 Laura used Milky Foot Active, which is specifically formulated for active people and has the added benefit of neutralising foot odour. There is also the original Milky Foot, which is available in regular and large sizes.

I love these foot pads so much. I’m thinking I need another treatment. They’re beyond gross but so strongly satisfying and really do work. For those worried about the chemicals, the ingredients are pretty natural: Lactobacillus/Milk Ferment Filtrate, Alcohol, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid,AloeBarbadenis Flower Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Citrate, Bamboo Vinegar, Butylene Glycol, Salicylic Acid,Hydroxyethylcellulose, CitrusAcid, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, TiliaCordataFlowerExtract, Centaurea Cyanus FlowerExtract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Hypericum Perforatum Extract, SalixAlbaBarkExtract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract,Ascorbic Acid.

I stupidly tried a cheaper brand second time round and it didn't work anywhere near as well. So I now have to buy Milky foot again so I can have nice soft feet again!

I love this product! I usually do this treatment maybe 3 times a year when I can remember. I use the extra strength one they now have and I find my skin to be so perfectly smooth after all the skin sheds off! The only annoying thing is when there is only the skin left on the sides or top of the foot to come off, and it's noticeable to others! Also, when you place the booties on your feet, ensure you wear thick socks over them to avoid any leaks. Try not to walk around when you have them on!

Luckily the skin on my feet is so soft and smooth but that's probably because I moisturise them heaps.

This is fascinating and horrific. I don't know if I could stand my feet peeling like that for days and days.

I've been considering doing this lately but was unsure if it wasn't a rort. After reading this I will definately give it a go. Even though the peeling part looks pretty feral.

I tried this a month or so ago and it took 6 days for my feet to start peeling! I really thought it wasn't going to work but once one (painless) air bubble blisters turn up it just keeps going for days until your feet are silky soft.
Wear socks because it is really gross and you don't want skin EVERYWHERE. This so effective that I would recommend it before you spend money on a pedicure.

Mmmm yummy.
I don't think I could deal with skin peeling. I think I'd rather a balm or cream!

I don't get why this brand is so expensive, there are at least.3 on the market at 1/4 of the price and they work just the same.

Interesting article - my feet have been definitely needing this for quite some time after consistently wearing ballet flats for work 5+ days a week. Bookmarked for later.

Have not tried milky foot. The soles of my feet are a little dry especially the heels but it helps when i use a pumice stone in the shower. Might have to try this though!

I don't have particularly dry or cracked feet but I got this in this year's beautorium. Excited to try it. I don't think I'll have that much peeling though.

I love this product. Use it once or twice a year. I put socks over the booties the last time and it means you can walk around while wearing them
