Get the look: celebrity style for under $50 - page 2

You don’t need to be a millionaire to rock a celebrity style. In fact, the smarter (and thriftier!) ladies among us will tell you that you can easily achieve A-lister looks at a fraction of the cost simply by swapping a Chanel lippy for some tinted Chapstick.
If you’re feeling frugal at this time of year, yet utterly inspired by some of the red-carpet beauty you’ve seen come out of Tinsel Town, there is an answer. Follow our guide and we’ll help you recreate some of the hottest celebrity hair and beauty looks this season, all for under $50.
Sultry siren with Leighton Meester
Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester, steals the show when she’s playing bitchy Blair Waldorf on screen, but there’s certainly nothing mean about the Hollywood fashionista’s personal style.
Make-up
Meester is renowned for focusing on either the eyes or the lips. In this image, she’s chosen to play up her pout and leave the eyes quite bare, yet still defined.
To get the look, simply apply a dusting of powder over your complexion to rid your skin of any blotchiness. We love Ulta3 Pressed Powder as it’s lightweight and oh-so silky on the skin.
Next, take to your peepers with a really good lengthening mascara, like essence All Eyes On Me Mascara, which features an innovative brush that adds extra volume and length to lashes.
The final step is the lips. For this look you’ll need a rich, ruby red that isn’t drying. Our pick is Mode Moisturising Lipstick in Devilish due to its hydrating properties and sleek packaging.
Hair
Meester’s mane is always perfectly complementary to her make-up look. This look is no exception; the vampish hair is a natural fit with the sultry red lip.
To get the look, apply a volume-boosting product to the roots of your damp hair to ensure you get some added height when blow-drying. We love Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse for it’s ability to give your hair natural movement and added height that lasts
In order to rock Meester’s feminine waves, you’ll need a tool that can provide curls in a flash. Why not try Remington Hot Air Styler (AD355)? This nifty number provides quick and easy waves with just a flick of the wrist!
Total = $44.79

I like both, but for myself, I tend to go with neutral. Vampy lips look great on other people but I've never been able to pull it off!

Definately a natural look although it's always fun to change it up for a very special occassion (minus the red lipstick for me because I just can't pull it off)

A natural look, but a smokey eye can glam a natural look up without strong lip colour.

I love the natural eyes on her. If I jazz things up a bit it's usually always on the eyes.

I prefer a natural look with a pink lipstick/goss, but am expanding my makeup experimentattion with a bit of red gloss/lipstains.

Lipstick doesn't suit everyone. Leighton looks nice but I couldn't wear red lipstick, only nude colours for me.
