Every year we recap the best and worst dressed celebs of that particular year. We remind you of the celebs that rocked our style files, and those that missed the mark in the beauty, make-up, and hair departments.
But sometimes there are some celeb fashion and beauty crimes that are so bad they transcend time. So hideous are they that we feel it’s our duty to make sure that they are never forgotten (hey, you know what they say, those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it).
So, beauties, take this as a cautionary tale of the clothes you shouldn’t wear and the beauty choices you shouldn’t make. You’re welcome.

A big fashion no-no? Wearing clothes that don’t fit. Check out how these celebs got it oh-so wrong…
What do you think is the biggest celeb fashion or make-up faux pas?
Selena Gomez
A sassy side part is an excellent accompaniment to a neat bun at the nape of your neck. Let your wavy fringe pieces hang by your face for added ‘oomph’
Jennifer Lopez
There definitely is a limit on how big your hair can be at your formal. Rule of thumb: your style shouldn’t require an entire can of hairspray to keep it in place.
#5
Jessica Simpson Fancy
Christina Aguilera
Purple eyeshadow can go very wrong, but we actually think Xtina hit the nail on the head with this violet and lilac look. Plus, we’re loving those full, fluttery lashes!
Fergie
Oh Fergie, it’s no secret that maintaining your roots as a blonde is a pretty annoying job, but you gotta put in some effort for a red carpet appearance!
Lily Allen
Who says that pregnancy means you can’t look elegant for a special occasion? Find a dress that suits the shape of your belly and you’re good to go.
Catherine Zeta Jones
The 43-year-old is obsessed with hula-hooping. In fact, she does it for 20 minutes every day. However, it’s not just child’s play for the svelte Catherine – she uses a smaller hoop that’s weighted for greater calorie burn.
Leighton Meester
Love Leighton’s lashes? The beauty uses none other than CoverGirl LashBlast mascara to get her lashes looking that fabulous.
Team Deep Side-Parts: Ruby Rose
Ruby really knows how to make a statement, and this edgy, deep side-parted ‘do paired with cornrow-esque twists certainly does that. Add to that a pop of orange on the lips, and Miss Rose’s signature quirky style is complete.
Paula Abdul
Hair accessories are cute, but a tiara may be a bit too overboard for your formal night. Maybe pick a small flower pin or a cute clip instead.
Ke$ha
Ke$ha’s showing off a much more demure side, but her eye look is anything but dainty. Love that she lined the crease to give her eyes a bit more oomph!
Madonna
Madonna aims for old Hollywood glam but ends up with hideous taffeta…wings? I guess we can be thankful that she’s covering up a bit.
Dying disaster
No woman should expect to be respected if she can’t do something as simple as dying her hair pink.
Scarlett Johansson
Short hair can look uber-chic on your formal night, just make sure your hair looks more pixie cut than hillbilly mullet.
Rosanna Arquette
A high neck, long-sleeve maxi dress is bad enough. Throw in some polka dots that draw attention to certain areas of the body, and you’ve got one disastrous look.
Taylor Momsen
This much make-up is only okay for members of heavy metal bands,, not 18-year-old girls. C’mon Taylor, time to act your age!
Alicia Keys
Props to Alicia for having the self-restraint to not pop that sucker. Can’t say we’d do the same (even though we know it’s oh-so wrong!)
Bai Ling
At least when Bjork wore a similar frock, she had her stomach and breasts covered. This is just a little too less-than-classy.
Cher
There’s no doubt curls can look fantastic for a glam look, but if you’ve got a lot of hair, and very tight ringlets, you may not love the result.
Drew Barrymore
Drew takes a corporate look, mixes it up with Parisian-looking beanie and tops it off with an exceptionally high-slit skirt. Fail.
