the body shop birthday

Not sure about you, but on my birthday, it’s all about me. Thankfully, The Body Shop don’t feel the same, because today (27th March), they’re turning 50 and they’re turning the spotlight on you.

Yep, to commemorate the momentous milestone, The Body Shop are having a weekend-long celebration. Kicking off on Friday 27th, you’ll be able to score yourself: 50 per cent off storewide (both in-store and online), experience skin consultations and product trials, be in the running to receive sample giveaways (at select stores only), and if Chadstone is your local, you can even pick up a piece of birthday cake!

We get it, heading in-store right now might be a stretch. But thankfully, we’ve got Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th to still enjoy a few extra goodies. If you head in-store and spend over $50, you can spin the wheel to receive a free product. Or if you shop online (also spending over $50), you can choose a free gift when checking out!

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector

Currently $14.50 usually $29 from The Body Shop

the body shop hemp hand cream

This might be one of their top selling hand creams, but for me, it makes me think of my dad. He’s been ritualistically applying this hand cream for decades, so when I smell the fresh, herbaceous scent I can picture him sitting on the couch rubbing it in. Not to mention, he’s picked a winner, because the fast-absorbing, ultra-hydrating shea butter is enriched with moisture-boosting French hemp seed oils.

The Body Shop Mango Body Butter

Currently $17.50 usually $35 from The Body Shop

If you grew up in the ’90s/early 2000s you know how exciting it was to get a jar of this ultra-rich body butter. Not only does it smell impeccable (hello tropical vacay), but the 96 per cent natural ingredient formula hydrates your skin for days. Yep, we’re talking long-lasting moisture here people. And because it is such a rich, nourishing butter form, a little goes a long way.

The Body Shop Shower Gel

Currently $7.50 usually $15 from The Body Shop

Much like the Body Butter, the Shower Gel elicits major nostalgic feelings. Aside from being named one of our all time best smelling body washes (a high honour indeed), this seriously affordable bottles offer up an easy-to-travel with, fresh (but not dehydrating) body cleanse, thanks to it’s formulation of 92 per cent natural ingredients.

  1. I wish they had as much variety as they did back in the 90’s/noughties in the Dewberry era. I loved their oil perfumes stand with lots of different fragrance types. Sad there’s no Dewberry lipbalm comeback. I did splash out yesterday and bought some of the Dewberry range, so very excited to have that one coming.

  2. I love the Body Shop but I have such a stock of their products (especially their body washes) that I had to resist (but it was hard!). I wish they were still on BH, they were a good source of review points for me.
