Bright whites

Bright whites

A recent report revealed that 41 per cent of Britons say that tooth whiteness is their most important concern when it comes to dental hygiene. Does the same go for Aussies?

I’ve noticed my teeth are starting to yellow even though I don’t smoke, don’t drink caffeine and brush twice a day. So on a recent visit to cosmetic dentist, Dr Jeffery Albert, to quiz him for an upcoming story (so watch this space) I was intrigued to learn that a common mistake to correct teeth discolouration is brushing harder. If you’re doing this: STOP. You’re actually making it worse. See, the enamel (the top layer of your teeth) is actually the whitest part; when discoloration occurs, it’s often because the enamel has started to wear away, so if you continue to scrub you’re going to making things worse.
Instead, try these whitening wonders:

Colgate Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste – this helps relieve the nerve ends, providing clinically proven effective relief from the pain of sensitive teeth whilst gently whitening your teeth.

Pearl Drops Beauty Pearls – this is guaranteed to whiten teeth by two shades in three weeks, when used twice daily. It contains a unique shade guide to help track the progress so there won’t be any Ross from Friends mishaps.

GoSmile Whiten – these single-dose vacuum-sealed ampoules carry the most effective whitening agent available outside of the dentist’s office. A polymer gel keeps the hydrogen peroxide on the teeth, eliminating the need for messy trays or strips, and boosting the whitening power. Application takes just two minutes, and the polymer gel remains on the teeth for a further 20 minutes, so in less than 30 minutes you’ll be saying hello to a Hollywood smile!

Are you confident saying “cheese”?
