Nail it!

Wondering if metallics are still the go for beach season?
Well, according to manicurist Ali Magliveras “metallics are definitely still cool for summer: the very reflective golds and silvers are huge.” Wear matte or shimmery to suit your mood or the occasion and if metallics aren’t your bag, how about something that pops? Magliveras says bright orange and corals are also big for summer.

What shape and size (square, round, mid-length or short) will keep us up-to-date with the in-crew this summer?
“Keep nails short and square for severe bold colours. Nails can be a little longer and slightly rounded for pale natural colours.”

So if, like me, you have quite long fingers with a larger nail bed you may have resigned to the fact that you simply can’t wear bold hues. Wrong! I’ve cut my nails super short and squared them off and I’m loving sporting a bright new shade every other day. Try it.

To keep nails in tip top condition throughout the warmer months Magliveras recommends using a nourishing nail treatment. Try Creative Nail Design SolarBalm and be sure to file and re-apply the nail treatment regularly as nails tend to grow faster in the sun.

  1. I want to paint my nails tomorrow – great way to spend some of this extra time at home with the c virus going on. I doon’t know why but my nails have been growing so extra long and strong lately. Could be the vitamin D tablets I’m taking – vegan ones from iherb or it could be the batch of Qsilica capsules I took from my beautorium parcel a couple of months ago.
