We all know the risks of getting too much sun, but are you aware of the consequences of getting too little?

According to new research by the ABS, 4 million Aussies are affected by Vitamin D deficiency, a condition caused by lack of adequate sun exposure.

Many of these are female workers, 60 per cent of who remain desk-bound all day with minimal exposure to natural night.

With experts warning our increasingly indoor lifestyles may have various consequences beyond just bone health and muscle function, it’s never been more important for us to soak up some rays.

  1. I usually take Vitamin D supplements in the winter as I just dont see a lot of the sun with working in an office and rarely getting a decent lunch break. I need to make more of a conscious effort to get some rays on the days that we can!
