beautyheaven says:

The JERGENS Triple Butter Blend range offers indulgent and ultra-hydrating body butters formulated using a blend of shea, cocoa and mango butters. In addition to this nourishing trio of ingredients, essential oils have been infused throughout each Triple Butter Blend variation to offer additional soothing benefits for the mind as well as the body. As part of our Trial Team, members tested both the Eucalyptus Mint and Sweet Citrus variations.

While both variations contain the same shea, cocoa and mango butter base and deliver uniform results in terms of hydration and skin nourishment, each individual fragrance offers its own set of unique benefits. The Eucalyptus Mint has been designed to impart a sensation of calm and renewal, while the Sweet Citrus helps the individual to feel refreshed and recharged. Which did our members prefer? Well, with both Triple Butter Blends earning an equal near-perfect score of 4.5 stars, for some, it felt like picking a favourite child.

In saying that, prior to testing the product, some members had already made up their minds that Sweet Citrus would be their preferred fragrance, describing the idea of a eucalyptus-scented body butter to be overpowering, “sinus-clearing” and “possibly resemble Vicks Vaporub.” However, upon receiving, the members were pleasantly surprised at the scent’s soft, sweet fragrance, laced with what they described as “refreshing hints of cucumber”.

The packaging was a success amongst members who often avoided body butters as they found them to be overly thick, too rich, slow to absorb and presented in a tub (packaging which members found to be messy and unhygienic). The squeezy bottle and flip-cap lid earned JERGENS major brownie points from day dot.

As for the formula, it wasn’t what Trial Team members were expecting – in all the best ways. What the formula sacrificed in a heavy consistency, it certainly didn’t lose in hydration. Over the course of the two week trial, members found their dry skin was transformed. Dry cracks along their elbows, knees and shins began to glow and were visibly hydrated and healthy.

Wouldusers be repurchasing the JERGENS Triple Butter range at the conclusion of the trial? The answer was a resounding yes. Each of the 20 Trial Team members saw a visible increase in the hydration of their skin and found the price point of $10.99 to be great value for money. In fact, there was only one critique: they wished the product came in a larger bottle. As for those who couldn’t land on their favourite scent, some have suggested opting for the refreshing citrus in the morning and winding down at night with the soothing essential oils of the eucalyptus-infused butter.

JERGENS Eucalyptus Mint Triple Butter Blend

“The product is thick and rich and creamy but absorbs pretty quickly without leaving greasy oil slick. It’s perfect for the mornings as I quickly get ready for work and put my clothes on.” – Mdy118

“I have very dry skin, and it absolutely loved this moisturiser! Firstly, I love the scent, which I didn’t expect to like as much as I do. When I first heard “eucalyptus mint”, I expected something very overpowering, herbal and sinus-clearing, almost something like Vicks Vaporub. Instead, it has this lovely, soft and fresh eucalyptus scent, almost bordering on cucumber to me; nothing overpowering at all.” – Amessofjess

“It absorbs in so quickly but keeps me feeling moisturised for hours, which makes it great to double as a hand cream too. This body butter also smells incredibly refreshing and calming, with eucalyptus and mint shining through alongside a light sweetness/green fragrance (cucumber perhaps?), which really complements the essential oil blend.” – Sue177

JERGENS Sweet Citrus Triple Butter Blend

“The texture is very nice – it is thick without being too thick and doesn’t have an overly greasy texture once applied. It genuinely does feel like it is nourishing to the skin. It comes in a squeezy tube and hence is very quick and easy to disperse either into your hands or directly to where you wish to apply it.” – XClaudia

“The moisturiser itself feels rich and thick, with a really good play time. You do not need to overload. It feels rich and so amazing on the skin! I had never heard of Jergens before this but I am now a FAN!! Overall I am very impressed and will definitely be purchasing!” – Suzitas

“The very first thing I noticed when I put this product on was the texture, it’s very silky and kind of a mix between a butter, oil and lotion, it sinks into the skin with no residue and is super easy to spread! I have quite dry skin so a nourishing moisturiser is a must, this one did the trick and left my skin silky smooth after using it for 2 weeks.” – Coconutjayne

  1. I liked the sound of eucalyptus mint, but with two reviewers mentioning that cucumber scent is also present and that makes me nauseous. Might see if there’s a way to have a sniff for myself before buying.
