A very Merry Christmas from beautyheaven!

The tree is decorated with tinsel and baubles. The beautifully wrapped presents are sitting under the tree. The carols are playing in the background. Yes – Christmas has finally arrived. And gosh, doesn’t it feel great?  There’s just something magical in the air at this time of year.

To help spread the festive cheer even further – and give you a few warm fuzzies – the bh team are sharing their favourite memories from the festive season. They’ll make you smile, they’ll trigger Christmas memories of your own, and they’ll (hopefully!) leave you even more excited about this very special day…

THE BH TEAM’S FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

“When I was little and living in the UK, it snowed on Christmas Day and all of the kids on my street went out onto the road for a snowball fight. We also made a snowman in the garden with all my family. It was so much fun!” – bh’s Natalie N

“I used to love coming home from church on Christmas Eve to find Santa had paid us a visit while we were gone. Our family would then sit around the tree eating and drinking tasty treats well into the night while unwrapping our gifts. Oh, and the Christmas carols would always be playing on the TV in the background. It’s not Christmas Eve without the carols.” bh’s Cherie

“I love trekking to the Christmas tree farm with my family to physically cut down our favourite tree. Nothing beats the fresh smell of a live Christmas tree – it really gives your home a Christmas feeling!” – bh’s Issy

“Christmas Day is a little manic in our house with 30+ people cramming into my mum’s place for lunch. So, I love the calm before the storm – Christmas Eve! Mum and I have a tradition of putting on the Christmas carols, having a glass of champagne and opening our presents.” – bh’s Jessica

“I love how all the adults in my life kept the secret of Santa alive when I was a child. My grandfather would dress up as Santa Claus to drop off Christmas presents; my mum and dad would eat copious amounts of cookies and carrots and chug glasses of milk before we’d wake up; my aunt and uncle would place sooty footprints throughout the house to prove that Santa had been down their chimney to deliver our goodies. The creativity and effort was heart-warming and exactly what Christmas is all about.” – bh’s Annalise

“When my brother, sister and I were little, we used to put out a bucket of water and some carrots for Santa’s reindeer and some Christmas cake and a Fosters stubby for Santa (because that’s the beer Santa drinks). I kept doing this until around Year 9, because I was the youngest in the family and didn’t want Mum and Dad to be disappointed that none of their kids believed in Santa anymore.” – bh’s Sam

OK, now it’s your turn… What’s your favourite Christmas memory? And are you doing anything special today?
