Have you tried any of the above body moisturisers? How do you like to keep your skin soft and smooth?
I like the Vaseline body lotion, that’s the only one I’ve tried on the list. The in-shower looks like a good option.
Moisturising in shower or just after when applied to damp skin, minimises Transepidermal Water Loss. Water can be a skin irritant!
The Sukin one is quite good. My favourite is the Aveda Cherry Almond body lotion, but it is pricey.
I absolutely love Aveda thanks to Beautyheaven. I’m yet to try that lotion. Sounds like it has a divine scent!
I’ve tried the Vaseline and Jergens and both are really nice moisturisers. Great to also see that all the products are super cheap and won’t break the budget.
In shower moisturisers need a dedicated article! I would love it if one of the BH Beauty Editors wrote an article focusing on Transepidermal Water Loss! We need to keep showering to a minimum and even then, only shower in lukewarm water. I love hot water but my skin suffers!
I want to try both the Jergens and Vaseline moisturisers. I’m a bit torn between using J&J and boycotting them. One of my best friends died from mesothelioma at the age of 38. I just wish J&J would address the asbestos in talc issue as they otherwise have some great brands like Aveeno and Neutrogena!
How good are the body creams these days – it really is 2021 and I really did get to the ripe age of 53. Wow it’s all happening! The Vaseline cocoa one – yummo treat for the skin and aural passages.
CCW, do you pop it on your ears? I get eczema on my earlobes!
Aveeno and Dermaveen are brilliant for itchy skin!
No mention of CeraVe or QV? I love them both!
I haven’t tried any QV products before but they do seem to rate well
I love Nivea products & I’ve tried two of their in-shower moisturisers. I can’t say I was that enthused.
I will try Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion next time because I do like the Dove equivalent.
I can’t handle the original Nivea cream.
Tried Sukin. The Aveeno interests me and I didn’t know St Ives did a sensitive skin product. Worth checking out.
Aveeno is a great brand, my skin loves it
I love the Sukin moisturiser too. I won it on BH a few years ago!
Sukin is really good! I’ve also been using the Weleda body butter
How’s the body butter?
The Vaseline lotion is an oldie but a goodie.
The name Cocoa Glow & the brown bottle made me assume this was a gradual tanner!
Me too. I would have gone and bought it for a self tanner.
Owned by Unilever- an ethical corporation as far as corporations can be!
lol
I love almond oil & shea butter in my lotion and if it’s got a bit of SPF for day time and a bit of a gradual tint, even better!
I have used Vaseline body lotions before but not the Cocoa glow one. And am currently using Vaseline Radiant Glow Skin Serum followed my Redwin Sorbolene.
Love using Nivea it has long been a favourite Body Lotion, also love using QV Skin Care Creams they are especially good for dry Skin.
I’ve used one of the other Nivea shower moisturising lotions and it did a good job, I still forgot to use it in the shower but when i did I was impressed!
I’ve used all the brands but just not those particular products.
Aveeno for me. I use some of their other lotions, creams and balms and I love them all. An underrated product that can be often picked up as a bargain in half price sales. I mainly buy mine from Woollies.
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser makes a great body wash & it makes my skin super-soft before a date, but I’m looking for an Aussie-made substitute.
I’ve tried the Aveeno one and liked it.
I would like to try Jergen’s.
I don’t believe I’ve tried any of the mentioned products but would like to try Jergens. At the moment I’m using CeraVe Daily Moisturising Lotion and would also love to try the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Oil Mist.
I love body lotions. they are so good. I do find some body butters annoying to use in summer though because my skin just can’t absorb it.
I’ll have to give St Ives a go as I often have itchy skin
aveno and st ives are beautiful products and very well priced.
I like atm Essano frangi coconut and Nivea Natural Oat
I like the Nivea, Vaseline and would like to try the St Ives
A few good ones on the list…
I love the Aveeno one
Does the Jergens moisturiser really do any firming? I find that quite a rich claim. I do hope it’s true as we could all do with a bit more firmness in certain areas
I haven’t tried any of these but would like to try the Aveeno Creamy Oil. The colloidal oatmeal does wonders for dry skin and Aveeno is the most natural out of all of these moisturisers.
I’ve tried the NIVEA Shower Cream Rich Moisture Soft but I wasn’t thrilled that it didn’t lather up a little in the shower. I didn’t buy it again but in saying that I’m still a fan of NIVEAs other products.
I absolutely love Jergens brand.Their body moisturisers has beautiful smell.
so lovely after a shower before bed
Have always loved Vaseline’s moisturisers
Some great products to try
I bought the sukin hydrating lotion to try
