The 6 Best Anti-Ageing Hand Creams On The Market

Take it from the French, moisturising is absolutely key. By making simple beauty errors, or not following a constant regimen, you could be prematurely ageing yourself. And it’s one step in particular we all admittedly leave out from time to time that is ageing us more than we think.

A new study has shown that having dry skin on your hands can age you by an average of nine years. In a survey conducted by UK company Harvey Water Softeners, participants were shown six different hands owner by people of a variety of ages, half of which were dry, and the other half were not dry.
When shown the dry hands, almost 70% of the participants guessed that the owner of these hands were older than their actual age, where only 5% of participants guessed their correct age. One person even thought that one set of hands belonged to an 80 year old, when in actual fact, they were just 27 years old.

However, when participants were shown well moisturised, ‘non-dry’ hands, they guessed that the owners of these hands were younger than their actual age over 50% of the time. Moral of the story? By simply keeping your hands well moisturised, you’ll be actively reducing your chances of premature ageing, or at least avoid being mistaken for an age well above your own.

Try these hand creams to ensure that your hands are receiving optimum moisture and absorbing essential anti-ageing ingredients.

  1. I tried the Grown Alchemist Vanilla and Orange Peel Hand Cream a long time ago and I liked its scent and how it felt nourishing. I might try it again one day to see if I have the same opinion.

  2. They all sound so good, would love to try them. Hand creams are something I wish I had stared when I was much younger! My hand are so wrinkly now and I’m only in my 30’s. I blame using very hot water to wash the dishes without gloves 🙁

  3. I have used so many different brands of hand creams , none of these but have screen shot all of them ! My hands look way older then what I am and im self concious to flaunt my hands around !

  4. Weleda one looks pretty to have. Atm I use whatever skincare I pop on before going to bed after shower (body lotion or face creams, serums. or all of it). Day time can not wear hand creams.

  5. Good to see the prices for all products for once. I’ve tried the Nivea before; it’s a bit thick for me, maybe because of the spf factor. I’d like to try Weleda

  6. My Mum always said to me that the state of a woman’s hand can reveal her age. Consequently I have always used moisturiser and SPF on my hands.
Now Covid has hit OMG my hands are a mess. I am now putting my facial night cream plus a drop of reship oil on the back of my hands each night. Early days yet but they are looking a little better.

  7. With all the handwashing and sanitising, our hands are in dire need of these lovely and beneficial hand creams. Some are very reasonably priced and from the comments are very good. I won a doterra citrus bliss hand lotion which is lovely, however, it is about $15-20 for 75ml.

  8. I have used the Nivea Q10 in the past but I wasn’t keen on the fragrance. I change hand creams regularly and rarely purchase the same one twice. I am currently using one from Glow Lab which I am rather happy with.
