Can you really professionally whiten your teeth in your lunch break?

When you’re so busy all the time, it can be hard to fit in proper beauty treatments. So when the beautyheaven team comes across one that gives great results, in very little time, we make it our mission to let you (and the world!) know about it.
So without further ado, let us introduce you to the new Quickpro tooth whitening by Philips Zoom.
What is it?
QuickPro is a professional teeth whitening solution that can be easily added to your regular dental check-up (no extra appointments required) to brighten your smile by up to four shades.*
How does it work?
The QuickPro by Philips Zoom is a two-step system applied by your dentist in just 10 minutes. That means you’ll be in and out of the chair in a flash.
The first step is the whitening varnish, which is then followed by an innovative sealant layer. The sealant layer dries in seconds to lock the varnish layer into place and to keep it from getting into your soft tissue. This, combined with the low-volume formula, helps to decrease sensitivity, so you can go about the rest of your day without any discomfort.
Not only is the treatment excellent for those with busy schedules (you can literally fit it into your lunch break!), but it’s also a good alternative for those who may have experienced sensitivity from other whitening methods.
Once applied, you can leave the dentist and simply brush or wipe off the thin film 30 minutes later. Then voila!
Who is it suitable for?
It is ideal for people who want to top up their previous full whitening treatments, or for those who prefer a more subtle (and speedy) level of whitening than a full Zoom in-chair treatment.**
“Zoom QuickPro gives patients a new option for teeth whitening by now offering a ‘touch-up’ whitening solution,” says Dr Saade Saade, Principal Dentist at Dentist & Co in Balmain.
“It’s whitening you can easily add to your regular dental check-up. Not only is it quick, but it’s a really comfortable experience and is a perfect solution for patients who may normally experience tooth sensitivity.”
Does it work?
bh’s Katia recently tried QuickPro for herself, with these amazing results:
“Philips Zoom QuickPro was made with time-poor people in mind, which is what the lovely dentist told me when I popped out to get the treatment in my lunch break.
The two-step solution really does only take ten minutes. Once it was all finished, I could see the sealant but couldn’t feel it and there was no sensitivity - a huge bonus!
While QuickPro works best as a ‘touch up’ for those who have had their teeth whitened before (and claims to deliver a smile up to four shades brighter), I haven’t had mine professionally whitened in over five years, and I’m very happy with the results! The dentist said many patients add it on to their annual or twice annual cleaning appointment, and I’ll be doing the same.”
For those who want to amp up their whitening even more but don’t have the time for long appointments at the dentist, there’s also the Philips Zoom DayWhite and Nitewhite. These take-home kits can be used in between QuickPro treatments to maintain your new, white smile whenever it suits you!
QuickPro by Philips Zoom is exclusively available and administered by dental professionals, and has an RRP of $199. To find a Philips Zoom dentist visit www.philips.com.au/zoom

**The treatment is not suitable for those with veneers, implants and fillings. Dentist must deem patient suitable for whitening prior to treatment.
Would you love to have a whiter smile? Do you like the sound of the Quickpro by Philips Zoom?

My teeth aren't too bad, but what I wouldn't give for fluorescent white, picket straight teeth like the celebrities in the magazines!

This sounds great! But seriously if you have cream or ivory coloured teeth they will never be bright white. A dentist told a friend that your basic teeth colour cant really be altered!

The results look really good. The results look natural and not overdone. I don't like teeth that are so white that they look unnatural.

Not a bad result for just 10 mins in the dentist chair, but I do think it's still a bit pricey. I have used the whitening strips and they do work but my teeth get a bit sensitive after wards.

Nice and cheap treatment. Much easier not to smoke and not to have coffee, black tea, red wine and other stuff that paints teeth with time :P (also flouridated water, it made my teeth go spotty with F deposits, now pure water only and bright teeth :D ))

Impressive results! Not sure if I would do it though. I don't do dentists!

I'll stick to using a whitening toothpaste like Oral B whitening. I tried the McCleans Extreme Deep Clean which ended up being too harsh.

Sounds nice, but I have fillings so I guess I wouldn't be able to have this treatment.

Wow that's a pretty great result! I drink a lot of tea which prevents me from flashing pearly whites, although I generally have good dental health.
