Super magnesium!!!

I have noticed in the last 6 months that I wake up aching all over and generally feeling like cr*p – all before I get out of bed. I have been feeling a lot of pain – in particular my hips and legs and getting up from a chair has been agony. It seems all that sport (and related injuries) in my early years has finally caught up with me (and I’m only 43!!!)
The a week ago I was told to try magnesium – just one table a day (yeah I though….mmmmm) but unbelievably it has works (a miracle!) – I am not waking up in agony and getting up from a chair doesnt cause pain anymore.
I must say I was a skeptic but thought I’d give it a go….and boy am I glad I did.
My daughter’s father has MS and has the associated pains to go with it. He too has been on magnesium for nearly 2 weeks – and he too cannot believe the difference.
So if there are any ‘old’ folks like us out there give magnesium a go you may be pleasantly surprised.

    This could cure my muscle pain after working out, or at least help it. I’m going to give it a go 🙂

    Im 28 and I always take a magnesium tablet after a big gym or exercise session. I dont get a lot of joint pain but I notice magnesium makes a big difference to my muscle recovery – far less aches and cramps the following morning/day.
    My boyfriend got me on to this as he does a lot more “extreme” fitness training and magnesium is a common addition to many of the sports fitness and protein powders they use.

    I take Blackmores biomagnesium daily to prevent cramps. I exercise pretty regularly, and do a lot of walking/jogging. I’d been known to wake at 3am with unbelievably painful cramps in my legs – the kind that immobilise you and make you scream in pain. And I’m only 22. Since taking biomagnesium, I don’t get them. I notice when I miss a day though. I don’t get full on cramps, but I certainly can feel stiffness or pain a lot more easily than when I take them consistently.

    Thanks lynellew I suffer from all the things that you have mentioned, but I have never tried magnesium. I will give it a go and hope I have the same results as you have had.

    I used magnesium years ago when I had problems sleeping and no other natural remedy worked. It was great and I felt really good when taking too. I had in the powder form. I must try again – thanks for the reminder!

    I suffer from leg cramps and overtiredness (I’m a shift worker). I pop several magnesium pills and life is better. Glucosamine is a natural ingredient and great for tendon joints. Fish oil is another terrific product with many uses.

    Wow, i am glad to know this. I run heaps and lately have been getting up with a real stiff lower back and also if i have been sitting in the one spot for a while 🙁 the doc told me to start taking magensium, so i started taking one a day for a week and yet havent noticed a difference. Hopefully it will kick in soon and feel the same way you do 🙂

    Well ladies… I have great news for you. I have the same issues (except I am 45 and not fit) 🙁 I have been taking Glucosamine and Fishoil Capsules (just finished one bottle – Blackmores.) I can seriously feel the difference. If you are allergic to fish products my brother swears by Flaxseed Oil. He’s 204cm in height and he would know. Good luck and have a great weekend.

    Thanks lynnellew, I too wake up with joint pain and my doctor told me to buy magnesium but I was really skeptical and never did so it’s good to hear that someone in my position has actually found relief! I’m definitely trying it now!
