Health and beauty tips from Aussie model Ashley Hart
Australian model Ashley Hart has outrageously white teeth. Outrageously perfect white teeth, in fact. She’s got fantastic hair, too; hair that has the right amount of beach-esque wave and texturised volume. Oh, and then there are the brows. Do not get me started on how fantastically shaped and full they are. They are simply divine!
She’s also got her head screwed on when it comes to health and looking after her body, which truly is refreshing. And that's exactly why she was chosen to be an ambassador for Swisse vitamins alongside the likes of Sonia Kruger, Ricky Ponting and Dr Chris Brown.
But what are her beauty must-haves and nifty health tips? Let’s find out…
beautyheaven: what’s your philosophy on staying beautiful and healthy?
Ashley Hart: my must-do for beauty is water – I think that starting from the inside out is one of the most important things. So, definitely eating nutritious food and drinking water is the key. Drinking alkaline water is also something I recommend, and for a healthy mind, make sure you love yourself.
bh: what are your must-have beauty products?
AH: a really thick facial moisturiser. I kind of switch it up all the time, though. I’ve heard the philosophy that, like your hair, your skin can get used to one thing, so I tend to switch-up my shampoo and conditioner every time I run out and opt for another brand – same with my moisturiser – but I always stick with a semi-nice brand, ones that are really moisturising and thick.
bh: Swisse recently released a range of beauty products. Which ones are your favourite?
AH: all of their natural skin care range is incredible – they’ve got essential oils in them. I really love the Swisse Body Cream with Vitamin D and Gotu Kola, and the Swisse Conditioner with Pro-Vitamin B5 and Avocado, too.
bh: you’re the epitome of the typical Aussie beach babe. How do you protect your skin when you’re out in the sun?
AH: I was definitely one of those kids who lay in the sun with coconut oil, I’m not going to lie. But I am already noticing the effects at 24 years of age, with little smile lines and sunspots appearing. I’m super-conscious now and always wear a hat, sunglasses and an SPF on my face – something super-strong. But as far as the body goes, I think it’s important to have vitamin D, and I still love the sun because it makes me feel incredible but just like everything else, balance is the key. I still protect my body, I just don’t lie out in the sun for a long time – an hour is just enough.
So true, Ash. A little bit of everything is always the way to go. Love your healthy way of thinking.
