3 things olive leaf extract can do for your hair, skin and health

Sometimes, it seems like every week there’s a new beauty or health and wellbeing buzzword that claims to be the very best thing for you. If you have your ear to the ground, you’ve probably got cupboards full of beauty supplements and miracle lotions and potions – some of which have changed your life – and some of which haven’t.

But olive leaf extract is an ingredient that delivers on the hype. Packed full of antioxidants and boasting antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it's a staple in households around the world, and not just for it’s famous immune-boosting benefits. Olive leaf extract benefits not only your inner health, but your skin and hair as well. It's a beneficial beauty all-rounder, and it’s about time you found out why…
WHY OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR:
Similarly to olive oil, olive leaf extract has smoothing and shine-enhancing qualities that are particularly important when it comes to caring for your hair. Olive leaf extract is also brilliantly moisturising and works to hydrate your hair from deep within the hair follicle while adding incredible lustre. We love Natures Organics Organic Care Dry Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner, a dynamic duo enriched with olive leaf extract to smooth hair and add shine, as well as protect it from the sun's damaging rays.

WHY OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT IS GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN:
While olive oil is excellent at conditioning and softening your skin, olive leaf extract is the stuff that matters when you want to ensure your skin is protected from the elements and the signs of ageing. This is due to the power of antioxidants which are found (by the bucket load) in olive leaf extract. We love St. Ives Fresh Skin Olive Cleanser because it’s rich in both olive oil and olive leaf extract, to condition and protect your skin as you remove the day’s dirt and grime. Follow up with Olive natural skincare 100% Natural Skin Care Oil for a #nextlevel soft, supple complexion!
WHY OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH:
Labeled the unofficial ‘health supplement to ward off winter’, this immune system-boosting supplement has been used in traditional remedies all over the world. Not only does it help to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system, but it also has the power to help relieve symptoms of the common cold as well as fevers, thanks to its powerful antioxidant properties. We love Swisse Ultiboost Olive Leaf and Olive Leaf Australia Olive Leaf Extract – Peppermint ($31.95, olea.com.au) for its easy-to-digest peppermint flavour. Simply take a spoonful daily and see if you feel the difference.

Also have Olive natural skincare face cream with the olive extract in it too. But synthetic "supplements"? No need for that, prefer real food for health boost, as only whole plant food (Fruit including olives, veg, nuts, seeds) works, not these.

Wow! I did use Natures Organics Organic Care Dry Nourish Shampoo/conditioner for years, not even knowing that it had olive extracts in it!

I have had this recommended to me as an alternative to vitamins in the winter. My immune system tends to go missing during points of the month so I tend to encounter a few colds. I was told olive leaf extract can help. I must try in the future.

And they are so incredibly affordable! I used this particular range for years before, as it was best suited for my hair. And love the scent of it! Also vegan friendly and cruelty free since the start!
