Nicole Kidman Reveals The $13 Aussie SPF She Can’t Live Without

In news that is as unsurprising as it is disappointing, Nicole Kidman has revealed that she only takes five minutes to ready her flawless, porcelain skin each morning.

Which tells us two things. The first? Genetics are playing a major role here. But also, she’s put in the groundwork to protect her complexion from a young age.

“I’m so grateful my parents were serious about sun protection when I was a child! Growing up in Australia, we spent so much time at the beach, my parents were always very serious about keeping my skin safe from the sun,” she told Forbes.

What does Nicole’s morning routine look like?

Speaking to InStyle, Nicole revealed she is strictly a “5-minute girl” when it comes to her daily skin care regimen. And let’s face it, any woman with a complexion that spectacular who can get away with the bare minimum when it comes to serums, lotions and potions, is BLESSED.

Which tells us that any products that do manage to get the exclusive call up, must be gold.

So when one of said products is only  $13 and from none other than beloved Aussie brand Cancer Council, it’s a call for celebration.

While speaking of the products she “leans heavily on”, Nicole explained, “I’m not going to sit there for an hour pampering myself. I don’t like dry, scaly skin. Who does? But that’s my skin’s tendency”.

And as dry skin types can often find sunscreens trigger irritation, Nicole has found the Cancer Council’s Sensitive Sunscreen SPF50+ ($9.39 at Chemist Warehouse) to be her saving grace. “I apply it all over my face and hands,” she said.

The fact the sunscreen is dermatologically-tested and fragrance-free bodes well for those with similar sensitivities, and the formula also contains aloe vera and vitamin E, both of which are known for their hydrating and soothing properties.

So hey, if it’s good enough for Nicole, it’s good enough for us.
