Plastic Free Strawberry Milkshake Goodness
So let's start with the positive, this softly sweet strawberry creamy scented soap is really lovely in scent, it's sweet without being overpowering unlike other lush products (cough cough snow fairy).
It doesn't contain SLS which is great, instead it uses a different surfactant which is my preference as it's better for your skin and the earth.
The naked shower gels are super duper creamy, they lather even better than the normal showers gels and soap in my opinion.
They don't dry out the skin, all soap do to an extent but for a soap it's pretty good. I use mine with a loofah for extra bubbles. Amazing that it's plastic free!
The negatives; the scent doesn't really stay on you for long in my experience, but my biggest issue is for $20 this is not worth the price as you get through this much quicker than any of the soaps Lush sell. For the size and the price and considering the rate that it gets used I don't feel the price reflects a fair amount of use.
The texture is super creamy but kind of too a fault, it gets super mushy and squashed up easily, not very easy to store without making a mess and this also means it doesn't look like it's worth $20... not because of no packaging but the melty sogginess that you can see even when you buy it is a put off.
Which is a shame because the concept is great but the execution and price isn't the best.
All in all it's a nice product and concept, the price and lack of convenience are draw backs which to me means I'd much rather buy a Lush soap and get more for my money.
Using something to store it on in the bathroom, wether it's cork to absorb some moisture or whatever you've got.
Lush lovers, plastic free pioneers and American cream die hards.
