Good news singletons: According to a recent study, your single status has nothing to do with being ‘too picky’, ‘too available’ or ‘too high maintenance’.The real reason you’re single, because you’re too attractive.The Harvard University study found that people who are physically attractive struggle to maintain successful long-term relationships. Apparently, there are a variety of reasons for this, including a ‘grass is always greener’ mentality. Regulation hotties often grow up with a lot of romantic interest, and are therefore always looking around for other options.The study’s director, Christine Ma-Kellams, told Broadly, “Attractiveness gives you more options in terms of relationship alternatives, which might make it harder to protect a relationship from outside threats.” “In this sense, having too many other choices is likely not beneficial for relationship longevity.”Ma-Kellams makes a few suggestions for good-lookers if they want to get the long-term relationship thing down pat. “One possible takeaway for physically attractive people is to be aware of their own capacity and tendencies in close relationships,” she said.”Ending a relationship isn’t necessarily a negative thing (depending on the perspective), but if the goal is to have an enduring one, then perhaps an attractive person should be mindful of their own limitations and not rely too heavily on their own appeal.”What do you think?
