6 naughty ways to use coconut oil (in the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom!)

We all know that coconut oil has some truly great health and beauty benefits. Or if you don’t, you can read them here to get up to speed.
But there are also some other uses for this oil that are a little more… naughty.
Intrigued? So were we. And Coconut Guru and author of Going Coconuts, Brynley King, did not disappoint.
#1: as a personal lubricant
Coconut oil is excellent for use as an inexpensive personal lubricant. According to Brynley, it has a lot more staying power than water-based lubricants, which is ideal for long sessions of lovemaking. But don’t forget to swap your latex condoms for polyurethane condoms! In some cases, oil can break down latex condoms, making them ineffective, so it’s best to switch to stay safe.
#2: to increase sex drive
Not feeling particularly frisky lately? Try adding three tablespoons of coconut oil into your diet each day. Brynley explains that both men and women who include coconut oil in their diets believe it helps to increase their sex drive. This could be thanks to the antioxidants it contains, which help to fight free radicals that can cause a low libido.
#3: as a massage oil
Der. Ok you may have guessed this one, but have you actually tried it? It smells good, won’t stain your sheets and who doesn’t love to relieve a little stress before sexy time?
#4: as edible body paint
Body chocolate is old news. Brynley recommends mixing coconut oil with raw cacao powder and honey for a naughty bedroom trick that’s not so naughty on your thighs.
#5: to fight off yeast infections
A little less sexy, but the downstairs department still classifies as naughty, right? Brynley explains that the antifungal, antiviral and antimicrobial properties in coconut oil can help combat yeast infections, either internally by digesting a few tablespoons a day or externally by massaging the area.
#6: to make yummy treats
If you’re craving a naughty treat that would normally contain a lot of butter, opt for coconut oil instead. It achieves similar results and has the ability to deliver nutrients and health benefits even when cooked at a high heat. Test it out with these delicious yet healthy peanut butter snack bars.
So what are you waiting for? Try coconut oil for yourself. Here are some of our faves:
1. Nature Pacific’s Banaban Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil ($19.95, 900mL, www.ausnaturalcare.com.au)
2. Spiral Organic Coconut Oil ($6.99, 300g, Woolworths)
3. Melrose Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil ($11.72, 300g, Coles)
Have you ever used coconut oil? Which of the above uses intrigues you the most?

I've only used coconut oil in cooking. I use it in a Thai Green Chicken Curry as it makes the flavour authentic. I'm intrigued by use #5 because I think that I'm one of the 30% of women that naturally harbours yeast.

Oh this sounds like something I need for a massage. I've only ever used coconut oil years ago when sunbaking.....but that's not a great idea these days.

I've used it before as a hair treatment (I went overboard with it, took 3 washes before my hair stopped looking stringy), in a body scrub (works best there) & a little bit in a muesli recipe. I would like to use it more for cooking/healthy desserts, got several recipes that call for it. Some of the other suggestions above are interesting too. ;o)
