How masculine do you like your man?
I was recently out to lunch with my family, when the conversation somehow turned to the topic of male body hair and how these days, men are much more aware of it than they were back in the day. “I’ve never been worried about how much hair I have – and I have a lot of it!” my dad proudly declared. “Yes, you’re like a gorilla with all that back hair,” my mum agreed (as I vomited a bit in my mouth and immediately lost my appetite).
But I had to agree, these days men are much more self-conscious about their body hair – to the point where a fair few guys I know go to way more trouble than I do in the hair removal department.
Personally, I like my men to have a bit of hair on their bodies. Not a forest mind you, but just enough on the arms, legs, chest and…er…nether regions to remind me of their masculinity. A completely hair-free guy is a bit of a turn-off for me. I recently had to stop dating a guy on account of the fact that he had less body hair than I did (he claimed that his skin became “dry and scaly” if he let his hair grow. I simply pointed him towards the ultra-nourishing Dove Men+Care Extra Fresh Body and Face Wash and sent him packing).
In saying that though, if a fuzz-free body makes a guy feel more confident, then who am I to stand in the way of his hair removal pursuits? So ladies, if your men insist on being hair-free, make sure they at least go down the super-smooth and prickle-free route (no-one likes cuddling up to a sandpaper chest) by gently exfoliating their bodies on a regular basis. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes and we bet he’ll love not having ingrown hairs too! Try: Dove Men+Care Deep Clean Body and Face Bar.
What are your views on men who are completely hair-free? Turn-on, or turn-off?
