Milk chocolate is good for you!

Up until now, I’ve been swapping my much-loved milk chocolate for a darker version, believing it was better for me.And I bet I’m not the only goodie-goodie!Well, you can finally stop trying to trick your tastebuds. A recent study published in the Heart journal showed both types of chocolate boast health benefits. RELATED: What is stevia?RELATED: How to make a raw chocolate avocado tart
MARS BARS FOR ALL!According to the study, people who consume 16 to 100 grams of chocolate a day (either dark, milk or both) had a 14 percent lower risk of cardiovascular disease and a 23 percent lower risk of stroke, compared with those who aren’t chocolate eaters. And out of the 21,000 participants, guess which type of chocolate was favoured? MILK! IT WAS MILK! Now, dark chocolate, don’t be better (sorry, it had to be done!).Although it’s not quite clear how chocolate manages to prevent disease, the flavonoids found in cocoa are often attributed for the health benefits of this delicious treat. That’s good enough for me!If you’re chocolate obsessed, check out these delectable chocolate-inspired beauty buys!
