There’s no doubt about it, this tart looks devilishly delicious. But while the delicious part is absolutely correct, it’s actually not that devilish – this one’s as healthy as a dessert comes.
Made by nutritionist Jacqueline Alwill, the star ingredient of this tart is none other than the nutrient-rich avocado. Packed full of essential fatty acids, avocado can help to soften and rejuvenate the skin, as well as improving the uptake of essential nutrients in the body.

INGREDIENTS
Base:
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup almonds
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup rice malt syrup
- sea salt, pinch
Filling:
- 2 cups avocados
- ½ cup cacao powder
- 5 tbs rice malt syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- sea salt, pinch
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
Method:
#1 Combine all ingredients for the base in a food processor and blitz.
#2 Place into a tart dish and press until flat and in shape. Then, place the dish into the freezer for 30 minutes.
#3 Combine all ingredients for the filling into a food processor and blitz.
#4 Scoop the filling on top of the tart base and even out with a spatula.
#5 Decorate with fresh, colourful flowers.
