Here’s a collection of quotes from eight inspiring women of health, which will help you put down the chocolate, get off the coach, go for that run, and become the best version of yourself! They certainly helped me.

KAYLA ITSINES

Health mogul Kayla Itsines hit the nail on the head when she posted the following to Instagram: “I never want you to compare your body to anyone’s body. It’s fine to be inspired, but what’s most important is that you want to be better, happier and more confident, because you are what matters.”

MELISSA AMBROSINI

Melissa Ambrosini is a best-selling author and motivational speaker who stresses the importance of self-love. In her book, Mastering Your Mean Girl, she explained, “You can not fully experience joy until there is gratitude. Gratitude amplifies the goodness in life and helps you become a magnet for more.”

JILLIAN MICHAELS

The celebrity personal trainer is full of motivational gems, including this one: “It’s not about perfect. It’s about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that’s where transformation happens. That’s how change occurs.”

KHLOE KARDASHIAN

The reality star was once hounded for her “plus-size” figure, but has now made her health and fitness a priority, and boy oh boy does she look good. On her website she announced, “I’m proud of my body. My body weight will always be something that I’ll struggle with for the rest of my life but I’m finally in a good place and learning to love me for me, and not somebody else’s standards.”

BASE BODY BABES

The personal trainer duo has a huge following on social media, and they offer an inspiring dose of daily motivation through their Instagram. Our personal favourite reads: “You keep putting one foot in front of the other and then one day you look back and you’ve climbed a mountain.” But they’re rock-hard abs are enough to get you to sign up for a gym membership like, yesterday.

JESSICA SEPEL

Australian nutritionist, author, health blogger and wellness coach, Jessica Sepel, inspires women to be the best and healthiest version of themselves. On her blog she wrote, “Focus on what matters – your health, not how perfect your body looks. There are sick people in the world. If you have your health, you have everything.”

SERENA WILLIAMS

We can learn a lot from the professional tennis player. On her success she said, “The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up. Make sure you’re very courageous: be strong, be extremely kind, and above all be humble.”

LAURYN EAGLE

Lauryn Eagle is a professional boxer, presenter and model. On her Instagram she wrote, “Behind every mentally and physically fit woman is an army of other mentally and physically fit women who have her back!” How’s that for girl power?
