The dermaSMOOTH Fuzz Remover is a multi-purpose beauty tool providing quick, easy and pain-free removal of facial hair and dermaplaning. Crafted with microMESH blade technology and using the finest quality Korean steel, the skin is transformed into a canvas primed for flawless skin care absorption and makeup application.
For those members who usually wax, they were immediately sold on the quick and pain-free process. The dual-ended blade meant members could use the smaller size for harder to reach areas like the lips and brows, while the longer blade was perfect for removing peach fuzz and dead skin over larger areas of the face. Some members were hesitant about this product, however, and confessed their fear of further maitenance after use (or a slip of the hand) stopped them from using it in some areas (for most, it was the brows left untouched).
After only one use, Trial Team members noticed their skin was visibly smoother and more radiant thanks to the exfoliating effects and in turn, better absorption of active ingredients. Members who had previously tried out dermaplaning tools with little success were hesitant to participate in the trial, however, they were pleased to report there was no irritation caused while using Manicare’s version.
When it came to makeup application, some members found foundation typically appeared “cakey” due to the build-up of peach fuzz on the skin. Once this was removed, the foundation melted into the skin leaving it looking natural and lasting for the whole day without flaking off.
Finding the results impressive and the removal of built-up dead skin and hair to be satisfying, members felt this was an important product to continue to incorporate into their routine in order to maintain the bright and luminous skin they currently had.
The dermaSOOTHE Massage Globe is a skin care tool crafted to elevate your routine from home. The gel-filled glass globe calms redness, de-puffs around the under eyes and invigorates your overall complexion. The perfect addition to compliment your current regimen, the Massage Globe will soothe skin post-facial treatments (such as dermaplaning) or enhance the performance of actives in your products.
After an initial hesitation of not knowing what to do, members were pleased with how easy the globe turned out to be to use and how quickly they were able to get into a confident rhythm that took little to no practice.
Pairing so seamlessly with the skin care members were already using (sheet masks especially) the globe became a cherished self-care ritual because of its relaxing and revitalising effects on the skin. In particular, members found use across their neck and shoulders (areas that normally received little attention) would leave skin feeling rejuvenated thanks to the detoxing massage benefits.
A reduction in puffiness and red inflammation was evident after only a few uses, however, members noticed that the more they used the tool, the more evident the benefits became. Morning under eye puffiness was quickly soothed by the cooling effects, and the contouring benefits gave visible definition around the jawline and cheekbones.
Due to its fuss-free nature, members voiced they would continue to use this product at the commencement of the trial.
The Manicare® Microneedle Derma Roller is a collagen-boosting and facial skin-firming tool constructed with 540 ultrafine 0.3mm painless needles, made of sterilised surgical grade Stainless Steel. Through regular use, the Derma Roller works to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections such as scarring and enlarged pores.
Our Trial Team members reported that despite the small needles and slight pricking sensation, the DIY skin tool was completely pain-free and the design of the strong, curved handle made it very easy and comfortable to use.
Working to create microscopic holes in the skin, the Derma Roller allows for any serums and creams applied after use to deeply penetrate the skin for rapid absorption. For this reason, triallers saw almost immediate results when it came to brighter complexions, firmer skin and a reduction in fine lines, while more stubborn blemishes like acne scarring took between three to four uses before it began to lighten.
Majority of members experienced redness after use, however, after a few hours any sign of irritation had subsided and glowing, replenished skin remained in its place. Those who entered the trial with hesitation that this product might just be a gimmick, were pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of the results, describing the Derma Roller as a way to “supercharge” your skin care routine in under 10 minutes.
As members expressed concern with the cleanliness of the product and the potential of spreading bacteria across their skin, they were pleased that Manicare included a sanitiser to clean their Derma Roller with after each use.
Overall the Trial Team found the product significantly helped in reducing puffiness, absorbing active ingredients and improving the overall texture of the skin.
