Best advice is to just START. Do what you can. Every minute counts. 10 lunges is still 10 lunges more than you would've done if you hadn't done them. Does that make sense?

You can't spot reduce fat!! Eg doing heaps of crunches doesn't burn fat off your belly. It only grows your muscles

Best thing you can do for your health is to cut out sugar. It's not easy but while you eat sugar it will affect your health. Fruit is good and small amounts of sugar with the glucose molecule (eg dextrose) is ok but fructose is a killer

I am at the moment in the process of losing weight through cutting back the crap I eat and walking - so far I feel better and may have even lost a little bit of weight.

A great compilation of articles in one place! Since I had my daughter I started exercising and I love it, I can see differences in my body, but only last year I decided to change my diet and now I am really happy. I eat everything, but all is balanced. I try not to eat processed food or too much sugar. I also drink alcohol very seldom now. I believe we can make changes to our bodies at any age. Right now I would like to gain more muscle and define them even more.

I try to eat well but I am prone to naughty binges when feeling overwhelmed and depressed. I really enjoyed the articles and great advice.

I used to exercise a lot and due to recent illness haven't been able to. I've put on so much weight since I haven't been exercising. Need to get back into it again to lose weight and feel healthier.

I have been doing a complete overhaul with my diet(mostly fruits and veggies and avoiding processed foods) not really for weight reasons but mostly for health. That in conjunction with exercise has made a really big difference to not only my body but my health

MissM, Congrats! I have done same when transitioning to 30s. Also for health only at first. And it is the best decision I have ever made! All my ills gone (asthma, thyroid stuff, osteopenia...etc) , superb health and slows down the ageing considerably ! yup! I was active before, but that does not make one healthy at all, it is the diet one eats!

The best health advice I've been given is to give away dairy and meat after being diagnosed with MS. Some professors and doctors with MS have found this works to fend off relapses so I'm following them!!

Yes! And it seems to help tremendously! I had quite e few health issues all till my early 30s. And I wish I had someone like you CCW, to give me same advice earlier in my life...I had opposite: my doc advised me to load up on meat dairy, especially dairy....and my asthma and bones and thyroid (and a few other issues) were all going worse and worse. My whole system falling apart. Not until I ditched all meat fish dairy and eggs...it all healed! I do not even have asthma any more =D
