From cycle classes to dancing and boot camp, the beautyheaven team have got you covered when it comes to group fitness classes in Sydney…

Vicious Cycle

“If you’re into exercise trends, you’ve no doubt heard of Soul Cycle – the spin class that is taking over the US. Take what you know about Soul Cycle, add an Australian twist and you’ll have Vicious Cycle. So much more than a spin class, Vicious Cycle is a rhythm riding class that works out your whole body. While it’s not for the faint-hearted, it is unique in it’s ability to combine an intense group workout, with a personal and motivational aspect that will mean you walk out feeling equal parts exhausted and inspired.” – beautyheaven’s Jordyn

Reformer Pilates (Elixr Health Clubs)

“For the past six months, I have been going to group Reformer Pilates classes at Elixr Health Clubs in Bondi Junction. Reformer Pilates is such a good strengthening and toning workout that also helps improve flexibility, balance and posture. After suffering a sublexed knee injury I was looking for a low-impact workout that would still provide results – and reformer is it! The class centres around a reformer bed and I love that I can decide on how intense I want my workout to be, thanks to the customisable springs you can change to up or lower your resistance. The instructors are great and while learning how to work the reformer beds and develop proper technique can take a bit of work, the results are great! When I can commit to going regularly I feel amazing, stronger and more toned – plus I can notice my injured knee is much stronger and pain-free which is also a win!” – beautyheaven’s Steph

Body Pump (Premier Health & Fitness Centre)

“Pump at Premier Fitness is 45 minutes which fits perfectly into my lunch break, and leaves me feeling so fit and strong. Unlike HIIT and cardio, these classes focus on certain muscle groups and help to increase strength and tone the whole body. I was always a bit scared of weight training because I didn’t want to look bulky, but it is perfect for slimming and toning. I’d never really spent much time working on my arms before I started doing these classes, but now I’m so glad I have. It’s great to feel yourself getting stronger and fitter.” – beautyheaven’s Jess

Infinite Cycle

“I LOVE LOVE LOVED INFINITE CYCLE. It was just expenno so I stopped going but I got RIPPED and it was SO FUN.” – beautyheaven’s Zoë

F45

“Awesome for those starting out. It teaches you technique in a fun and supportive environment, and it also introduces you to high-intensity training. It’s an environment that welcomes all fitness levels and no one should be worried by which level they’re at.” – beautyheaven’s Issy

Spin (Premier Health & Fitness Centre)

“Spin at Premier Fitness is 45 minutes which fits perfectly into my lunch break. This class is INTENSE and takes some getting used to, but once you get into it the endorphin rush after is unbeatable. It is perfect for before work or on your break because it gives you an energy lift that will carry you through until the end of the day. Due to the intensity of the classes, you begin to see results quite quickly. My legs have always been a problem area for me but after doing a couple of spin classes a week, you’ll start to see your body changing.” – beautyheaven’s Jess

CrossFit (Play Movement)

“If you’ve tried F45 and want that extra push, CrossFit is great for testing your fitness further. After doing crossfit at Play Movement for 2 years now, there is always a new movement to learn. The variety between Olympic lifting, gymnastics and cardio really does push your mental state, however, when you see the results in your strength and performance, it’s very rewarding and makes you set that alarm for 5am every morning!” – beautyheaven’s Issy

Sportif Outdoor Group Training (Mosman – Rawson Oval and Balmoral Beach)

“I’ve been going to the group fitness classes at Sportif for the past year. The mixture of strength, cardio, and boxing classes means I never get bored. I also love that all the classes are outdoors, with weekend sessions overlooking Balmoral Beach (which is perfect for summer swims after a tough session). The owner and head trainer, Jess Cross, organises regular partner challenges and 9 week fitness challenges, which is also a great motivator. I’ve made some great friendships and genuinely look forward to working out every day!” – beautyheaven’s Katie

Up!Cycle

“I’m about 1000% more likely to stick with a workout if I get distracted by how fun it is. So when I heard of Up!Cycle I was so excited. It’s a spin class (kind of like Soul Cycle) in a dark room with fluoro lights. You cycle but also dance on your bike and use little hand weights to get a full body workout. It is TOUGH stuff. I don’t think I’ve worked out that hard in a looooong time, but because it was so fun I didn’t care. And there aren’t any of those competitive or intimidating cycle class vibes,  just a whole lot of smiling and singing. It’s located in a small Kings Cross studio and the team are so welcoming and encouraging. I can’t recommend it enough!!!” – beautyheaven’s Ellie

Body Attack (Premier Health & Fitness Centre)

“I absolutely love Premier Fitness’ Body Attack classes. They deliver an excellent workout and keep me on my toes at all times (figuratively and literally!) The class can be intense, but the moves are simple and I feel amazing afterwards. Plus, the instructor Vickie Lee always makes it super fun!” – beautyheaven’s Tiarne

Sydney Dance Company Open Classes

“Again, I only really enjoy getting fit when it’s fun. So Sydney Dance Company’s open classes (that anyone can attend!) are perfect for me. You can pick from a bunch of styles and do beginner or levelled classes so you can slot in with people who have had similar experience to you. The classes go for 90-minutes and are such a great time. I’ve done the hip-hop class and it’s so much fun and such a great workout!” – beautyheaven’s Ellie
