I’m excited to finally share that I’m getting Invisalign treatment! I’ve wanted to straighten my teeth for years, but a number of factors held me back. I’ve decided now to take this journey, and we’re going to document the process, so you can see what’s involved and how it works.
Being a beauty editor is a pretty great job. I get to attend loads of amazing events, and my day-to-day consists of the latest and greatest beauty products. I love my job, but there are certainly challenging aspects to it, particularly being in front of the camera on a regular basis. While shooting videos is fun, it also brings out my biggest insecurity — my teeth.
I know my teeth aren’t disastrously crooked, but they’re not as straight as I’d like them to be and I’ve always felt self conscious about smiling. I’ve wanted to get them straightened since I was a teenager, but was put off by the cost and didn’t want to wear braces that were visible. At my appointment, the Doctor used an iTero scanner, which produced 3D digital images of my teeth and a simulated outcome of what my new smile would look like at the end of treatment. I couldn’t believe how great my teeth could look — I was so excited!
