Stretch Marks!

Hi Everyone!
I am in serious need of some stretch mark advice. I am 19 (haven’t had children) and only weigh 62kg but my hips are just covered in stretch marks.
I have tried products like Bio oil but nothing seems to be working to reduce them.
I have always stayed relatively fit, and whilst I do have wide hips they are nothing to justify these stretch marks.
By the time I started noticing them they were already well on their way to developing, so that through out prevention products.

Any Ideas anyone?!

Unfortunately there’s no way of getting rid of stretch marks. I have tried loads of products and nothing worked. The best thing I found to help minimise them was extra Virginia olive oil (yes the one you cook with lol) I apply it over my stretch marks after every shower and it’s actually helped in minimising them

I got stretch marks with my first pregnancy and I used rose hip oil, it’s worked well with my stretch marks. They’re still there but they’re not as bad.

A beautician friend of mine said one of the best things to use on stretched/scarred skin was Apricot Oil..
She said just to go to a health food store and buy it. It’s less than $20 and will last forever.. I just bought it so nothing to report yet!

Hi ladies who may have stretch marks! I am one of the very few lucky ones who miraculously don’t seem to have these, even with my ever changing body shape over my 60+ years. One product that I have been using lately, mainly to re-hydrate my aging skin, but also seems to minimize or almost fade, a few scars is Nivea 4 in 1 Firming Body Oil. This is so inexpensive and totally effective and I would be surprised if it didn’t help fade stretch marks. I had a very severe cut on one finger and while using the oil to apply to my body, this scar has almost disappeared, you have to look for it to see it. That is how great this product is and I would suggest you try it. I apply my oil to slightly wet body as it seems to absorb and distribute better and your skin does dry quickly without any oily feel.

I am a veteran of stretch marks sadly which all arrived with my first pregnancy. I do not think there is any way to stop them from happening other than taking care of your skin AND body from both the outside as well as the inside. Creams, lotions and potions? I have tried so many at great expense with little to no effect. It all comes down to how you take care of yourself from a young age. Eat healthy so you get the best vitamin and mineral intake that your whole body needs, drink HEAPS of water to keep your body hydrated. Begin your moisturising routine for your whole body from an early age. Get the correct amount of sleep etc. At the end of the day, if your body grows and you do not have enough elasticity in your skin due to your collagen levels – you will get the stretch marks. But the evidence is there from the classic women that advocate the importance of a good beauty routine and taking care of yourself from the inside out – think the Elle’s and the Jennifers etc. And having said that, I am pretty sure they too will have parts of themselves that they are not happy with as well – just like me an my stretch marks that I now wear with pride because they came from creating an amazing new human being 🙂
