Lovely, lilac eyes

Lovely, lilac eyes

Lilac is BIG this autumn / winter and, luckily for you, we grabbed MAC Make-up Director, Linda Jefferyes, for a quick run-through of the lilac eyes she designed and applied at Zimmermann for RAFW.

Jefferyes revealed the inspiration behind this look was “fresh, first flowers of spring.” We love it already. “It’s a beautifully, light, achievable look, yet it has a sense of definition also.” The shimmering mauve around the eye plays a vital role in the freshness that Jefferyes describes.

A nude lip’s recommended as this look is all about flirty, feminine eyes.

Tools of the trade

MAC Eye Shadow in Crystal – this highly-pigmented shadow is violet with a silver opalescent shimmer. It’s the exact shade that Jefferyes used and is simply stunning both in and out of the pot.

MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack – this precision gel offers a strong line that’s still both soft and silky. It’s a breeze getting the jet black hue flush with your lash line when used with MAC Eyeliner Brush 209.

MAC Cream Colour Base in Nude – this is the actual product that Jefferyes used on the Zimmermann models, however, it is a MAC Pro shade, therefore we’d recommend MAC Lipstick in Crème d’Nude as an alternative. It’s a pale, muted-peach beige that goes with everything.
